  1. Just like anything else........if we'd all have known this in 2014 we'd have taken out a second mortgage or sold the farm to invest in those russkie rifles.
  2. That's a heluva deal! Thanks!
  3. Thanks. I got one part to spare and still use Russkie mags!
  4. Hi guys, Already converted my Saiga and jus not thappy with the Tapco adjustable stock it's wearing. Pleading ignorance here,,,,,is the Saiga a "stamped" or milled receiver? I see a lot of stocks listed around that say for either one or the other. I'm interested in maybe a wooden stock from one of those old eastern block countries i.e./ Romanian, Albanian and so forth. Just wondering which ones will fit. Thanks.......
  5. Those prices are "somewhat" high, BUT, given the curent environment, but Lord knows I've seen worse around! At least it's available if ya' need some.
  6. You guys should all become "huntsmen" and intentionally fire 29 warning shots at any and all game for "sporting purposes".
  7. I was kinda worried about sanding/filing/dremeling that bump on the factory or SGM mags. Didn't know if they might be hollow or not!
  8. Would love for my Saiga 7.62x39 to be able to use the factory mags and the SGM mags I've bought along with standard AK mags. Considering buying and installing the feed ramp to be able to do so. Mine is a round trunion . I've already done the trigger and pistol grip conversion. Does anyone have any experience with using the factory and SGM mags AFTER installing the feed ramp? And.......if I have to file down the mag catch to use the steel AK mags, will the factory and SGM mags still latch up tight? Thanks for your help!
  9. In the process of converting now, and yep-------had to elongate the hole towards the front of the Hogue grip too. No problem there. BUT.......also having to grind an 1/8 inch or so off the top of the grip where it meets the receiver so the CSS trigger guard seats fully into the grip. Be forewarned. It's a pain....but I do love that grip and TG.
  10. Getting ready to do my conversion and just wondered if anyone had used a cold blue instead of using black black matte high temp engine paint to restore the "finish" on the bottom of the receiver after removing the trigger guard plate. I guess paint is what is on there originally? Thanks, woodyp
  11. That's great to know since I just ordered that exact setup yesterday! Thanks for the heads up. Woodyp
  12. +1 on CSS with the 2 orders I've placed with them. Mulling the conversion now.
