Good stuff, Rich. I found myself in the same scenario (no threads on my new 7.62). What method did you use to align it and make sure it wasn't canted? Also, did you use the conventional method of pinning it in with the 2 holes at the bottom?

Great job with the conversion. Congrats man! Enjoy that beast! Ohhh...I'm also from Kalifornia. Do you plan on putting a mag lock on there (I presume yes, since you've chosen to put a pistol grip on it, rather than a featureless build)?

Thanks for the heads up. I personally wouldn't go for it either as the components are not exactly my taste, so I'd end up throwing money at changing them out either way. However, this would be a good alternative to those looking to convert theirs and don't want to do the work themselves (nor pay a couple hundred for the labor) and have a restored Saiga for just over 5 bills...
