  1. Looking to buy a Warsaw Length OD Green Stock
  2. Shot a big buck last year with my x39. He was out about 80 yards, and I was shooting with stock iron sights. Took a little bit to feel confident before pulling the trigger using the stock iron sights on a low light early morning. Was shooting winchester soft points. My brother had borrowed my 30-06 that morning because he said he couldn't shoot a deer with the irons on my x39. Showed everyone up when I came back with a big buck and my brother had a smaller doe. Planning on using it some this year, but I still prefer using my 30-06 with the Nikon scope. I like knowing that my bullet i
  3. Can someone recommend which hole to elongate? I have the same issue with my angled trigger guard I ordered from CSS for my x39. I may try to bend it, but I don' want to distort the shape too much. Only about 1/3 of the back hole is visible when I have the screw through the hole closest to the mag release. Thanks
  4. Glad I stumbled across this. Mine is doing the same thing. Going to the store tomorrow to get a screw with a lower profile.
  5. Well damn, after looking at post #168, my barrel is not threaded.
  6. thanks, that is what i was thinking, no if i can just find out if it is threaded or not before i cut off the shroud
  7. I thought it was originally, but after looking back at the certificate/manual it came with, the date look to be 9/13/11. This is the date where the Chief of Insp. Dpt Stamped his seal and stamped signature. It is the date he wrote in. However, my serial number is H09601xxx, on the reciever the SN is different, it is H09607xxx (the xxx on the 2 SN are different also). There is also a "09" stamped on the right side of the reciever under the logo of the circle with 2 Es facing each other with an arrow through them. Does that mean it just sat around for a few years? Also, in the blank aft
  8. Does anyone know where I can get my Saiga 7.62 converted? I bought one and had the intention of doing it myself, but after more and more research, I am scared I am just going to mess up my rifle. I am not the most skilled person when it comes to this type of work, and I think out of respect for my rifle, I would perfer to pay someone to do it right, or at least assist me in the process. Also, I live in Raleigh NC, so if there is someone local, that would be great. If it is someone local, we could go out to our "range" and fire the newly converted Saiga, as well as other firearms. Thanks
  9. I live in Raleigh, nice to see some people from NC on here. Anyone know where I could get my Saiga converted? Or at least someone to help with the process. I have a 7.62 and my shooting buddy has a 12g. We are both looking at doing the conversions, but I am scared that I will ruin my rifle. Send me a PM if any of you could help. If you are willing to help, you can come out to our "range" and fire all you want. If you are enough help, I am pretty sure you may have the chance to try to lumber jack a tree or 2 with a 50 BMG!
