  1. I'm about 20 min North of SLC
  2. Tru-glo shock tests all of their sights. I have one of their reflex sights on my Polish Tantal. They also have a lifetime warranty. Got mine for around $80.
  3. I re-used the original in mine. Did the same when I converted a Saiga in .223.
  4. I used some matte black ceramic high heat engine paint that I got from Walmart in an aerosol can. Has held up nicely.
  5. This is a CIA Polish Tantal with a gray parkarized finish and olive drab furniture. Gun is in excellent shape. Shoots the inexpensive 5.45x39 round. I have put around 400rds of Russian 7N6 ammo through it without a single problem. I replaced the non-working tritium rear site with new tritium and also replaced the non-tritium front sight post with a tritium sight post so it has new tritium night sights. The optical sight on it is a Konus micro red dot sight. It is a top notch sight and has held zero very well. It has an Ergogrip pistol grip and an Ace foldable/collapsible buttstock with a rubbe
  6. I patterned my 19" Saiga 12 a few weeks ago with the same Winchester Ranger Low Recoil 9 shot 00 buck used in this review. Only difference is that I have a polychoke on my gun. At the Extra Full setting I was putting 7 of the 9 pellets inside 6" at 20yds. I was very impressed. Also, my gun cycled very well with the low recoil loads.
  7. I patterned my 19" Saiga 12 a few weeks ago with a polychoke and some Winchester Ranger Low recoil 00 buck and I was putting 7 of the 9 pellets in a 6" radius at 20yds.
  8. I cut the rear tang on mine and installed an Ace folding mech with integral AR stock adapter and have a 4 position collapsible M4 stock on it. I love it. I have this set up on all my AK style guns except my PSL.
  9. I have 3 Ace folding mechs and they are great. They are not the push button style.
  10. I put a 1/4" foam pad on my buttstock and used some low recoil 00 buck and slug loads on my last range trip and it felt like I was shooting 7 1/2 birdshot. I made the foam pad out of a soda can holder that I bought at wally world for under a buck. I ended up putting the pad on all my AK's. Works and feels great!
  11. I would agree with slugs being dangerous out to 100yds. I would give about a 50yd range for 00 buck.
  12. I went on Saturday to try out my new polychoke. I was impressed. At 20yds I was holding a 18" pattern with 7 1/2 birdshot. With 9 pellet Ranger Low Recoil 00 buck I was getting an average of 7 of the 9 pellets in a 6" group. These were all on the extra full setting, which I found provided the tightest groups.
  13. I recently purchased 100rds of Nobel reduced recoil 00buck and 50rds of Fiocchi reduced recoil slugs for just over $100 shipped from Sportsmansguide
