  1. Sorry for the late reply. I am trying to upload pics to share but getting a "Error The server returned an error during upload" message, It is a slant cut, like a thumb-hole Vepr.
  2. Hello you all. I have been a long time fan of Saigas and have never come across a slant receiver Ak (aside from Verps). My buddy just told me he bough a Saiga 7.62x39 thumbhole stocked rifle. Do Vepr stock adapters work on this? What are his thumbhole to real AK stock options? Thank you in advanced. Saiga-M Rifle
  3. HAs anyone dumped mags while using this quad rail? If so, did it get crazy hot? I bought a cheap ebay quad rail ($30) that looks good and feels solid, but when I mag dump just one mag, it gets too hot to touch. Even starts softening rail ladders. Reason I bought the damn cheap rail was because I didn't want to spend allot on a rail to just add a Magpul AFG2. Live and learn.
  4. I just recently bought a used (almost new) Saiga 308. I have used the CSS modified G2 drop-in triggers with success in the past for the S12, 7.62x39, and 5.45x39. CSS's website under "All Saiga 308 Parts" lists this one (link below) but in the description does not states it is for use with the Saiga 308. Should I be concerned it does not have 308 in the description? Has anyone used this one with success in the Saiga 308? http://www.carolinashooterssupply.com/CSS_SAIGA_Vepr_TRIGGER_TAPCO_Fire_Control_Group_p/css-saiga-trigger-group.htm Also, how about that new ALG AK trigger. Anyone
  5. Thanks for the replies guys. Looks like its gona be an interesting challenge. I figured something was already created since this forum already has the website logo in Izhmash style letters. Wonder who created that?
  6. I think this maybe the easiest way. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NqL0x8JgICU
  7. I think I am still in the safe zone (no bolt replacement needed) because if I apply upward pressure on the magazine (taking up the gap I created by over filing) all rounds chamber. THANK YOU LORD! Now if you all would care to read my new post about the magazine spring, that be great. I thank you all for your input on this matter. You all rock! http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/topic/91317-replacement-magazine-latchrelease-spring/
  8. I have a Saiga 7.62 x 39 and recently installed a RAM extended magazine release. Doing so was a pain, royal pain that I never wished to do again. Due to my stupidity, I filed the magazine latch too much, now rounds don't chamber every time, I need to replaced the extended mag release/latch with a new one. The reason it was so difficulty was due to the springs extreme tension when compressed. It was inhuman! Is there an AK magazine spring that does not required Hercules like strength to install yet still give positive tension against the magazine?
  9. I forgot to mention I was also filing the mag release to accommodate this Tapco 30 round mag and I think I over did the mag release. Found the problem. Ugh, installing that RAM extended release is a pain!
  10. Reason why even started messing with the Saiga. Carrier was doing this to the 1rst round on top and made it hard to chamber the first round. Was trying to alleviate this. http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/gallery/image/9368-dsc02081/ The outcome. Crap dremel job, I know. http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/gallery/image/9369-dsc02082/ http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/gallery/image/9370-dsc02083/ http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/gallery/image/9371-dsc02086/ http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/gallery/image/9372-dsc02087/ http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/gallery/image
  11. From the album: 7.92 x 39 Conversion

Reason why I started my dremel venture :/
  12. After doing a conversion and having over 800 with no failures, I decided to smooth some bolt areas because I had trouble cambering the 1rst round on a Tapco 30 round mag and the G2 trigger I had installed, similar to a S12 polish job. Long story short, my Saiga 7.62 x 39 will now fully chamber rounds when facing upward and horizontal. When facing downward, sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. The bolt is on the rails like is is supposed to be. Dont see why the bolt would jump over a round vs not doing so when facing up are sideways. Any ideas?
