I have a tapco buttstock for sale. It was new, I fitted it to my S12 and now I'm going with another buttstock so I don't need this one. I did remove some material (see photo) from the stock to better fit my S12.
$19 shipped paid via paypal.

I cut the hole for the pistol grip, but yes... you can do it either way.

I notice that its sold, but was wondering how you install this stock on s12? Do you have to drill the reciever or it just bolts on? thanks
you have to rivet in the new rear trunnion and cut the receiver up in three different places to install the parts.

If you are going for a traditional Bulgarian/Russian AK look... Cobra's for sure!

I had both of these installed on my S12, but decided to go a different route.
SAW grip (with screw and nut) $12 shipped
tromix DIY trigger guard. It's in like new condition EXCEPT the rear screw is missing (I have the washer for it though). $35 shipped.
Or... I will do $43 shipped for the both items.

get the real Russian stuff... there's no comparison! plus... $200 is not a bad price for that set.

here's a small write up... I think it's mostly about the front latch though.

i used JB Putty on my saiga 223 when i filled the holes in the receiver. 3yrs and still holding strong.
I just used JB Weld on my first conversion. I cut small, square metal plates and JB Welded them to the inside of the receiver covering the holes from the backside. Waited for that to set and then filled the holes with JB Weld. I then waited a a few days for everything to cure and sanded it down. Then I stripped the receiver and refinished it.

I know tw4. He's a solid guy.
If he says it's Russian with a 5.5mm pin, it's Russian with a 5.5mm pin. He knows his shit.
EDIT: I just saw that's it's sold, so I guess this post of mine has no relevance.

I never saw that note since I was only looking at package deals. I agree Chevyman, they should add that to the other descriptions. I already have US Followers. I will just use the piston then. Its much cheaper anyways.
if you click on either of their package deals, it's noted:
1 follower - 1 floorplate package deal
6 followers - 6 floorplate package deal
FYI: they will work with Bulgarian and Polish polymer mags (and also 7.62 bakelite mags too)

In my quest to achieve 922r, I am wondering if the arsenal US floorplates fit the com-block steel mags? I have a US piston, but as I am reading, I find it is a substandard part to the Saigai piece. I think I may go with floorplates instead. Its just much cheaper to go with a piston over plates.
No.. they will not fit steel AK mags (read the description and you will see that).
