  1. I have several and they are all great rifles. I would rank it above my DPMS but below the high dollar models. Good value IMHO. You do your part and they do theirs. 1911
  2. The problem will soon be gone; but it will return. I was blessed with two grandchildren in the last year or so. It all starts up again. 1911
  3. Looking to use my 5.56 suppressor on my old Steyr AUG A1. Anybody got a source for the adapter? 1911
  4. I think it is a nasty looking round, I bought a couple of boxes to put next to my .308 Black Talon boxes. Don't know that I'll change my current rounds but I like unusual stuff. 1911
  5. They sold out a thousand today. I am waiting on the next version with metal reinforcement. 1911
  6. I bought a bunch of Bulgarian Circle 10 mags and they are my favorites. They are an all poly design with metal reinforcement. I paid $30 a mag or so and I notice they are $45 a pop at K-Var today. If Magpul can make an equivalent magazine for $15 or so that seems like a total win to me. 1911
  7. Thanks for the input gentlemen. My 5.56 & 7.62 baffles are stainless so I'm not concerned with those. The aluminum baffles were the worry. Guess I'll check the Ph of my solution and see how things go. 1911
  8. Has anybody used this to clean your suppressor baffles; specifically .22LR aluminum baffles. Sounds like a great idea, thought I would check. 1911

Approved Date: 9. Form 4 Received: 10. Picked up from Dealer: 11. Examiner Name: My gunsmith had the stamp in hand at the end of September. He put off building the unit until he had the stamp in hand. He has been in a motorcycle accident and is now out of commission for an unknown period of time. Oh well, hope he get's on the mend quickly. 1911
  10. My two cents. I think jerry52 is correct that an appropriate punishment would be to have to retake the CCL class. Gets your attention but doesn't really harm you in any way legally. I have had to throw away a Benchmade knife because my bride had already dropped me off at the airport and there was no other choice. Sucked but my fine was about $160.00 (cost of the knife). I carry at the airport when dropping off or picking up folks but NEVER try to pass the TSA check point. JMHO 1911
  11. I think U.S Praetorian is dead right! I called at what would be about 6 months following their receipt and was told it would be another 60 - 75 days. Today Nobama announced a rule change that would require Photo and Finger Print Cards on all involved in a Trust Application. I wonder how this will effect us? What I need to avoid is the law enforcement signoff because that is impossible to get here.
  12. might want to reconsider the macdonald's drive through http://www.democraticunderground.com/10023403961
  13. Thank you for the replies gentlemen. Guess I need to check out my end. 1911
  14. Is this working well for everyone else? I have gotten the same "No New Content" message for 3 days not which I know is inaccurate. That has been a time saver for years allowing me to scan for new posts I want to read. Maybe it's my computer. What say you all? Thanks, 1911
  15. Seems like there is nothing that smokes fast for me. I spent last weekend making 28 pounds of Texas Link Sausage and it took a total of 24 hours to get it smoked (Pecan) on my 18 1/2 Weber Smoky Mountain. I used 165F and cooked it to 152F internal temperature. That allowed the fat content to remain in the sausages and not melt away. When we vacuum sealed them they weighed in at about 21 pounds. Between moisture loss, test patties and eating a couple straight from the smoker that was my shrinkage. Take your time and enjoy it. I have found that your times increase dramatically when you cook in b
  16. Since I was born and raised in Texas it is not an issue.
  17. Shops that go through more volume are less likely to gouge on their prices. They still might raise prices just so they don't run low on supply due to the shortages... but they usually don't by much. Conversely, those small shops that hardly move anything are the ones that usually raise prices to retarded levels... and it kinda does make sense. If they know they'll only get one black rifle normally per month and they know it will fly off the shelf at MSRP anyway, they're going to double the price just on the off chance someone will buy it before they get more. Reminds me of the local hardwa
  18. I carry IWB Milt Sparks VM-2 365 days a year and it is very comfortable. I carry everything from the Officer to the Commander to the Government Model. Think Dallas weather, 110F to 20F. 1911
  19. Milt Sparks "Versa Max 2" Inside the Waistband is the standard by which all other holsters are judged. A less expensive option would be the Falco Holster that looks similiar: it is a quality holster.
  20. TEXAS FOLKS DO THINGS THE RIGHT WAY...... Here is an account of WHAT TEXAS and TEXANS DID to honor real heroes: This is from the dad of one of the pallbearers. Patriotism, Texas and Chris Kyle: I just wanted to share with you all that out of a horrible tragedy we were blessed by so many people. Chris was Derek's teammate through 10 years of training and battle. They both suffer/suffered from PTSD to some extent and took great care of each other because of it. 2006 in Ramadi was horrible for young men that never had any more aggressive physical contact with another h
  21. Not to poop on anybodies parade but my personal experience is as follows. I purchased an M-1 Carbine in 1971 for $65.00. I went to Colorado to shoot prarie dogs and did fairly well at 100 - 125 yards with iron sights. I shot a rabbit at 30 feet and it kept on hopping. It was hit but I was totally discouraged by the results. IMHO the M-1 Carbine is good for prairie dogs but not anything much bigger. Your mileage may vary and I hope you find it to be an excellent weapon. In WW II they gave it to cooks and others that were not really involved in front line stuff. Just another opinion to throw in
