Actually I dont care where they stay. I'll consider them when they start to build real M4s. Untill then I'll stick to the TDP http://blogs.militarytimes.com/gearscout/2012/04/20/us-army-places-order-for-24000-m4-carbines-with-remington/ Apparently the Remington Arms Company is using Colt's Technical Data Package (TDP). The Department of the Army just bought 24,000 Remington M4A1's. Like I said, the company produces quality firearms and that was the orginal question. Thanks for your input Arik.. 1911

A thoughtful man with much to share. Silly to waste 1,000 on this but congratulations Big John! Your exclaimation point, not mine. LOL 1911 -
I understand the opposition to Remington based on their staying located in an anti-gun environment. I agree as far as my purchases go. However, if the question is do they make quality rifles, the answer is definiately affirmative. I have seen & shot their version of the M-4 and it was very well made. 1911

Dick's
jrance@iacwds.com replied to Brian76's topic in General Discussion - Any topic is welcome here!!!
There are very good reasons that I do not shop at some stores: i.e. - Dick's Sporting Goods is Anti-2nd Amendment and Cheaper Than Dirt price gouge everytime there is a scare. Be sure to stay away from these stores. 1911 -
Outstanding responses gentlemen. Based on your positive experiences I have acquired 500 rounds(as of this evening). Got a lot of friends to help me out. LOL This batch is going to my son-in-law. He just returned from Afghanistan last Thursday and his birthday is May 11. He has a Sig 5.56 due in in August. His company or whatever offered a special order for the guys and it will have the 4/2 Indian Head embossed/engraved on it. Needless to say he has not been able to acquire any ammo since he has been shooting taxpayer ammo at ragheads for the last 9 months. His ammo will ship out Monday and arri

Has anyone ever shot the Independence AR 5.56 Ammunition? I just picked up 3 boxes at WalMart and the box was interesting. It is made in Israel and imported by Federal Cartridge Co. I is labeled 5.56x45 55 Grain FMJ. At $8.97/20 it is not a bad price. I read of some folks that were disappointed with the Independence .45acp after I got home. No idea whether that extends to all Independence ammo or not. Any experience here with this specific cartridge? Thanks in advance for any thoughts. It is also labeled XM1931. I know XM193, 855 and so on but never heard of XM1931.

http://www.survivopedia.com/category/food-production/ Take a look around this site. Some great articles on saving your seeds. I just planted a bunvh of Okra from last years seeds (Clemson). I like the idea of using Heritage Seeds/Plants because you get a true reproduction the following year as opposed to the genetically modified seeds that are only good for one crop. When planting corn, be careful to only plant one variety. My dad decided to plant sweet corn and ornamental corn close together one year and it was a disaster! Cross pollination ruined it all. This year will be mainly Okra with s -

I ordered (4) Pmags from DSG Arms back in January and they shipped today. Price was $15.10 each. I am a happy camper. -
I and most CHL holders that I know belong to Texas Law Shield. When they were queried regarding this situation they responded with this, "Thanks for your question. We have received many questions regarding the unfortunate situation with Sgt. Grisham. If one of our members found himself in this situation we would absolutely represent him. In fact we did have a member who was arrested by a small town police officer for disorderly conduct for openly carrying a holstered pistol on his own property. We represented him because he was in a place he could lawfully be with a firearm he could la

I don't think you'll be "sharply criticized". We all know that a) it wasn't about slavery and the recent war of aggression was won by the wrong side. Seriously. How come the letters of succession al state slavery among other reasons? Just rhetoric? I'm honestly curious. IMO the North was against slavery but that is not why they decided to go to war against the South. The economic reason for the civil war was the taxes on imported and exported goods. The tariffs that the national government put on imported and exported goods affected the Southern economy, but benefited the Northern econom -

I wouldn't worry about it. During the 1994 - 2004 AWB the NFA items were not effected. Get it, enjoy it, and post pictures. 1911

Shelf life of Ammo

Be careful about shooting paper shells with paper wadding in your Saiga 12. Did that and the paper blew back into the trigger mechanism and it took awhile and a call to Pauly to get it straightened out. LOL Shells worked fine but the Saiga hiccuped. -
I keep them, although the boxes for my AK style stuff is mostly garbage by the time they arrive here. It is just an old habit I developed because my Dad did it. He would keep the box to the Coleman lantern and shellac it so it would be waterproof for transporting/storing the lantern. I suppose you might get more fi you sold the weapon years hence. I don't really sell any of my guns so I don't have a good reason. LOL Been saving those boxes for 40 odd years now; in the attic. Probably so brittle now they need to be thrown out. I just am not going to be the one to do it.
