  1. A guy I work with needed rent money and I bought his converted 7.62x39 for $450 the other day. I told him he should list it online and get more, he said he needed the money now and couldn't wait. He said he wouldn't get mad if I sold it either. There are still good deals out there for sure.
  2. I just bought a sporter Saiga in 7.62x39. I was thinking about changing the gas system over to the AK style. I'm pretty mechanicly inclined, I did both of my pistol grip conversions on my 12 and .410. Anyone know of a good place to get the new or used parts that I need. It would be kinda nice to get all the parts from one place. Thanks, Danny
  3. Upper and lower hand guards, gas tube etc..
  4. Do they make a kit to change the front end to look like an ak?
  5. How did you get the upper and lower hand guards on the second one? I like it.
  6. I just re-installed my BHO. I used the dental floss method(youtube). Wasn't that hard.Only problem I had was the hole on the bho from CSS was a little too tight. I couldn't get it to go in. Took it apart and trial fit the pin throught the hole in the lever it was too small of a hole. A drill and a few seconds later it was together.
  7. I'm lookng for some good ammo for my .410. I'm looking for some ammo to play around with at the range that doesn't cost $1 a round. CDNN advertised some Advanced Technoligies buckshot in their catalog, but I can't seem to find it online? Thanks, Danny
  8. CSS sells what they call an extension that will allow the use of the Ace without modifying the rifle. You don't have to cut your receiver to install it. I have one on my 12. You can mount it to flip to the left or right side of the receiver.I also have what I think is a german "tantal" style metal "crutch" folder on my .410 that is very tough too.
  9. I have one on my .410. I like it allot better than the Tapco on my 12.
  10. I have a friend on another forum who is looking for a dust cover for a Hungarian AMD style weapon. Anybody have one for sale? Thanks, Danny
  11. Keep in touch with your FFL. I ordered my SGL through Buds, and they told me a week or 2. I got mine in like 3 days. I called my FFL on a wim on Friday, and it was in!!! I'm only like 3 hours away from buds, but it shipped way faster than they said it would.
  12. I would like a paracord wrap on it, but it's hitting at the but pad. Or atleast the aluminum piece that the but pad mounts too.
  13. Ace skeleton 7.5" I think. Yea, I meant the scope mount on the left side of the receiver. Good idea on the hose.
  14. I flipped my Ace folder to fold on the left side of the receiver. Now it wants to bump my accesory rail on the side of the receiver. It's trying to remove paint from the rail and the stock. Is there anything I can put on the rail to create a buffer between the 2? It's a Saiga 12 if that matters. I know ak's arent meant to beauty queens but I don't want to beat it up for no reason. Thanks, Danny
  15. I saw a guy somewhere on the web make his safe look like a upright freezer. I have mine in a safe, but have an old upright freezer in the basement. I have thought i would be neet if the freezer dies to dismantle it and anchor it around my safe. It wouldn't keep kids out but a thief would.'t look twice at it.
  16. I'm not realy looking for 75 rounders yet. 1st reason being Ohio has a 30 round limit on mags. I'm aloud to collect and own them but not allowed to shoot them. Stupid politicians. I will keep you in mind though, because once I get all the ones I'm looking for go that rought. Thanks, Danny
  17. I've started collecting AM mags.I'm looking for Chinese AK mags, they must say China or made in China,Poly China , /66\ or the stamped top Chinese. I have plenty of the "chinese"mags from AIM. I am also looking for Russian ones too. I'm looking for an IZZY side stamped steel mag and a slab side without the serial numbers engraved in it. I would also be interested in Molot or Tula bakelites. I also have some Unissued Tula spine stamped steel mags that I might consider trading for the right mag or mags. Thanks, Danny
  18. That is why I went with the SGL too. I got mine through Bud's for $795 (cash price) with free shipping. I converted my 12 and my .410. If I could have gotten the same quality of the sgl2161 in a shotgun for the same price range, I wouldn't have done the conversion. You also have to watch the "professional conversions" out there that just put plugs the holes where the old triggerroup was. If I'm paying for a conversion done by a "pro" they had better weld the holes shut and refinish it.
  19. I was not complaining by any means. I was just curious, I too would wait all summer for his quality. I knew it would take a while for that kind of craftsmanship.
