That explains it. I really didn't realize that anything changed in the safety/ bho area. Is it necessary to modify the bho or since I got it together will it function properly? Thanks, Danny

I was trying to finish my S-12 conversion and couldn't get the saftey lever back in. I used the dental floss method of putting my bho back in. I tried putting the safety lever back in and it hit my bho. I ended up having to put the safety lever in first before the trigger group. Has anyone else had this problem? I thought you were supposed to put the safety in after the trigger group. Am I missing something? Thanks, Danny

I'm pretty pleased with the SGM tri rail that I got from Carolina shooters supply. i'm not using any lights or optics on it. The texture on the grip makes it nice when picking up the gun. I never really liked the factory smooth forend. The 3 rails really don't stick out more than the rest of the grip, so when moving your hand down the grip you don't hook fingers on the rails, like my Tapco on my Saiga 12. Just my 2 cents. Danny

Just bought a 2011 Saiga 12. I paid $589. It has the extended hood, 4 ports that were clogged up, plastic thread cover on the barrel. Scope/rail mount on reciever. Legion USA import marking.

Is it possible to install a DPH or an Ace style folding butstock without modifying the reciever? I like that style stock but don't want to cut my reciever. Seems like I read you have to cut off the rear "tangs" of your reciever and either weld a plate on or bolt on an aluminum piece. Just don't want to cut my reciever, I may change my mind and want to go a different route. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Danny
