I bought a pair of Kamick boots earlier this year during a big sale, but it hasn't been cold enough yet to try them out! :laugh: They seem very well made and comfortable, though, for the brief period I tried them on after buying.

^ That's a good point! I think the pressure-effects of the brakes DO have more of an influence than just the weight would, but it should probably be tested just to set a baseline and compare the results.

What's the general consensus on compensator holes drilled in to the barrel? I've seen several new shotguns that have patterns of holes drilled to (hopefully) reduce muzzle rise. Do these work well, and is there an accepted pattern to follow? Is Mag-Na-Port still in business? I have a T-C Encore 22-250 that my Dad had the barrel ported this way.

How do you like the Key-Mod setup? I haven't used it yet, but it looks good.

Just a civilian here, but would the GI Bill funds cover the post-graduate work? Get the 4-yr. degree, do his service, then go for the doctorate on the GI Bill? Does that work?
