Only way I have been able so slow hogs down with out shooting is a trap...just remember you going to have to deal with empty the trap every night for the 1st week or so. Trap, spear, and a big freezer. Ploblem deliciously solved! -
Best way to get em is with a hog trap...it's there when u can't be...just don't shootem in the trap..the smell of blood will keep other pigs from coming in when u set it again...if you get a big one in the trap and have to shoot it in the trap...22 mag an inch or so below the ear hole will minimize the bleeding...be sure to smoke the trap out to get the blood scent out before you set it agian. Good Luck! I love free range organic pork!

Too much for a gun…….
sccritterkiller replied to SHOTGUN MESIAH's topic in General Discussion - Any topic is welcome here!!!
Depends on the gun for me. If I am going to use it a lot.I try to find the best fit for me....I have a beretta A391 and a A400 that use for hunting ducks...not cheap guns but they are well built my 391 I have for over 10 years..I have used it for everthing including a boat paddle and the only issue I have had is the shell catch had to be replaced b/c it was worn so far down it was double feeding. Both were worth every penny..A couple of my hunting rifles have optics that were as much or more than the gun...again IMO worth every penny. These guns are used multiply times every season so I need qu -
Some buddies and I got unto this conversation the other day..doesn't anybody still use the old school needle torque wrenches anymore?..I have a needle one that is probably 40 years old and use it way more than my 3 newer clicky ones..still works great! Seems like now a days these new ones will do everthing but jerky you off...I don't like spending 20 min to set up the wrench for 2 bolts...lol

Sounds like someone needs to put a cable lock on that gun and flush the key...I have never relied on government for anything and I wouldnt start now with this situation. Good Luck! -
Sorry to hear this, I hope he is doing well.... Best regards..... He is a wide open 4yrd old boy now a days...he is doing just fine....matter of fact trying to keep up with him probably contributed to blowing my knee out...lol.....He had pyloric stenosis...which is quite common with newborns and it was fixed with a 30 min arthroscopic surgery. Thanks for asking!

People try to get me going all the time on the road.I drive in Charlotte rush hour traffic every day...bunch idiots on the roads here.I found after they honk, give u the bird, tailgate whatever to get your attention just blow them a kiss and wink at them...they will go totally balistic....lol -
I had my knee scoped a few weeks ago and that was one of the pre op questions..I look at the nurse and replied...It's none of your or Obama's damn business what's in my house. She immediately apologized. I have to ask the question was her response. She did mention that she would answer it the same way...I was asked this question before my 3 week old boy at the time went into surgery. My response was the same...He is 4 now. Nothing new here.

Never understood why the 6.8 spc didn't get adapted. It doesn't preform as well past 300 yards but being able to push 110 grs @ 2500 fps is very effective from 0-300 yds....I have almost quit huntin with my 30-06....almost. I have used PSA parts on a lot of my AR builds because a lot of them come from across town. FN makes good stuff.

You can get factory mags @ hkspecialist. They are not cheap...I would also watch for sale posts at hk pro, you see gov surplus come up there from time to time. What are you wanting to run them in a clone? Sometimes the Korean ones will work depending on the parts used for the build. If it has HK parts kit you will probably be better off with factory mags.

Like my old man always said....If your gonna be dumb you gotta be tough....lol -
I have a 30-06, 300 win mag, and a 308. I hunt with all of them. The 308 is semi so it makes the perfect gun for putting free range organic pork on the table...pigs seldom travel alone..so quick follow up shots are needed to make the most of the opportunity. I use the 30-06 for deer out to 250. I use the 300 when I don't want to track or when hunting ag fields where a 300+ shot is needed...mostly hunting in swamps...not a fan of tracking an animal in the dark thru a swamp filled with gators and cotton mouths. A 200gr trophy bonded round usually doesn't require tracking......So like others sai

I have a few AR s that do the same thing. The ones chambered in 6.8 seem to have the greatest shift in POI. I can put 4 rd in the x with SSA 110 gr switch to Hornady 110 gr and it moves 3 inches to the left and up 2 inches. Good back to the SSA and I'm back in the X. I gave away the remaining boxes of Hornady I had left and bought 2 cases of SSA. Problem sovled.
