I just picked up one dated 1972. The fit is awesome throughout. Arsenal stamps all over,sights are perfect,runs great,shoots tight,etc. From my understanding,from 2008 up,they are coming in all Romanian made,using de-milled un-issued military (mil-spec)rifles except for the compliance parts we put on. I just recently picked one up myself at a show,also 1972 Triangle with the arrow. Very happy with the fit and finish. Nothing rattles or makes a sound on it.Perfect sights,shoots tight,runs flawlessly,etc. Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Just did all 3 of my 8rnd mags lastnite finishing off my Great Lakes X-Mas Ale(expires tommorrow...). Super easy and only takes literally 10 minutes for each. Glad I found this write up! Simply awesome!

My 308 does this. When I fire a round,it gets hung up all the way back after it ejects it. Then I have to smack the charge handle forward with the palm of my hand,and it then pulls and chambers the next round. I did grind down the TG screw,but maybe now a little needs to come off the back of the hammer. I really cant take the screw down anymore.

Was there not talk about the AK54r and something about the powder burning fast enough or not and early throat erosion with the short barrel? I would assume the same would be for the Saiga 16". Unless the powders are that different. Can anyone shed some light on that...?
