  1. Hey Cobra, I saw those pics of a Spencer you found at a garage sale?? Did it turn out to be an original? Did you shoot it yet!? My blackpowder ways are beginning to fester up again...and I'm thinking about that Trapdoor, Cap n ball, Henry...that I never got around to.. for cowboy action and just for myself..and thought of you and those pics of that Spencer.
  2. Yeah...but I love watch'in the fella rocking back on his heels and the way his hair bounces around.

My local Dunhams(PA) can still pull of few out of his stock room. He talked me into a .223..damn him. He (sales guy) still has some 410 and 7x39..told me the Saiga12s they never stocked but could special order..back then.
  4. I wonder if that conversion is expensive. GOB
  5. Very cooling looking camo jobs and I saved the link but... I'd just loose my gun. No- really. It happened before. Dang turkeys!
  6. Speaking of.. who makes these? If you do the magnify thing..it says made in Russia on the side. http://www.sportsmansguide.com/cb/cb.asp?a=148293
  7. (o00uuAHhhh) Looks sweet! Chris, you just hafta let me know if the front sight works out on the range. I think I ordered one from Oleg but I'm not sure now and if it works well..I want one too!
  8. Hi Fal Grunt, I guess it depends what you really want your shotgun to do. I'm in PA and we can't use semi-s for hunting large game. All I want mine to do is.. play well! I wouldn't even think of using mine for self-defense.. I would hate to give the press any anti-AK fodder. I never shot my Saiga12 when it was a 22"..should have just so I'd know how it used to perform. I cut mine to legal and installed Johnny's flashsuppressor. I'm waiting on a red-dot to do any real slug testing but all I really want mine to do is whack things with slugs and buck at defensive ranges. My cut S
  9. Tell the boy not to wreck the Mustang..cause it cost Dad a nice shotty. It was nice taking to ya Sir.
  10. I bit too.. No report yet other than it sure looks good. I was suckered into shooting IDPA but my co-worker never really showed and I need motivation. I'm a Glock convert but they (local club) snub the black plastic-non- fix'er upper gun) and I didn't want to buy another barrel to shoot indoors(play-shoot'in). I love the feel of a 1911 style gun..so I was due to buy another 1911 but I can't carry somp'in after carry'in a glock. Too small..too dependable..too light..too DO-ABLE. My Kimber sure looks and acts cool but I tend to love it too much to throw it where it needs to be thrown. Ya knowh
  11. My opinion varies..like the wind. I buy what turns me own THAT day. Per this discussion.. I own a SAR, a Saiga..(s)..an AK-USA104... an original AK..ect ect.. I would not buy anything but a Saiga for the money. We can help you do the PG conversion. The muzzle-break and anything after is just trying to get closer to the real thing..IMHP..after all.. a real AK in Afganistan(sp?) shoots 30 rounds in 2 seconds for $50 but you still can't hit crap..unless your good or GOD or ALA(sp?) is with ya...and if so..an M16 still might jump up and change his(ALA/GOD's) mind any given second.
  12. I think we should roast pork and pass gas. I can supply the roasted gas.
  13. Tell me about it please. My buddy has an old one and I remember hearing about them but don't know what or why.
  14. My local Dunhams found a pair the 410s still in their stock and can still get 7x39 and 223..price went up to 229.00 on the 410. Good sales manager there..he talked me into a verbal raincheck on the 223. The manager also showed me their new arrival..it was a 223 made by Olympic( i think) It was an el cheapo version of a AR!? 600.00!? Can't say I was as impressed as he thought I might be.
  15. Dunhams Sporting Goods is selling some sweet looking AKs..nice wood and bayonets. 350. Beats me what model..I'll go look! lol.
  16. If ya get tired..send me 150 of them. My 410 has only shot 3 rounds.
  17. I asked for the 'plain-jane'..looks like the m16 flashsuppressor. Too cool! Can't take a decent pic after dark with my camera...sorry.
  18. For johnnymceldoo Go Johnny GO! He can give your Saiga12 a flash suppressor! Great product, Speedy communication, and the tools to help you install it yourself! What more can a guy ask for! Thanks again johnnymceldoo.
  19. Way to go johnnymceldoo!!!! Just installed my new flash suppressor and I just can't stop staring at it..lol! Bigtime thanks Johnny for your fantastic product, quick service and followup..felt like I had the ultimate mail tracking device. "I made it" "I mailed it" I loved to post a pic but camera sucks in room lighting.
  20. My 1st Saiga came with a very sturdy green sling but I got shorted on all the others. Where can I pickup more of the green nylon slings? Thanks.
  21. hmm.. I'm right eye'd. Will I have trouble seeing thru it?? Great pic by the way!!!
  22. Has anyone tried the Russian made shells. I just ordered a bunch of 12s but The Sportsmen's Guide has 410s too. I think the Saiga on the box sold me!
  23. Hi All, I'm about to buy one soon...BUT WHICH!? There sure are alot of models. Maybe you guys can help me decide. I want a low profile, fast, easily maintained, durable scope that I might be safe to switch back-n-forth from my S12 to my Sx39. Not sure if I need 2 different types for rifle and shotgun. Thanks ahead~ Ned I'm leaning towards the AA battery model Kobra.
  24. Hey Tomac~ I see you are sporting the Pk-AS series..how do you like them? I'm trying to make a decision on scopes and need some feedback. I was looking at those and the Kobras.
