  1. sorry about this kind of post. I've got two Saiga rifles I converted myself. I've always wanted a 12ga. So I see a used one for sale in the paper $625. When I go look at it what should I pay attention to? Thanks
  2. Hi. I recently installed a TWS dog leg rail on my 7.62x39. I know I have seen at least one pic on this site somewhere of a rifle with this on it but I cannot find it now. I was hoping folks would be willing to post a pic of there setup with an explanation of what kind of rear site you use, what kinda of optic you use, (I'll be installing some kind of red dot), and if you can co-witness. Thank you!
  3. Yeah I hear ya. I asked about details and I gave out as much as was possible. They don't exactly want every detail of their next argument to be announced to the "defendant" ahead of time. But I think it's the best 2A cause going right now. Yes very strange and unfortunate this got dumped into political. Shame. I did get permission to post what I did ahead of time. Guess that wasn't necessary if it was going to get dumped here anyway.
  4. Well my post was original and heartfelt. The only thing I copied was the wording concerning the ruling " Found the 2nd Amendment to Be an Fundamental, Enumerated, & Individual Right". The rest was just my call for support for a cause I care about. No propaganda. the proof of this cause is the DC win. I honestly feel this group can do more. I am not deeply involved, I just have info from a friend who is deeply involved hand in hand with Dick Heller. From my information the move is going to have to do with the fact that taxing a civil right is unconstitutional. Since Heller
  5. Everyone knows that Heller Vs DC was a bombshell for the people's right to keep and bear arms. Thanks to Heller Vs DC the Supreme court of the United States found the 2nd Amendment to Be a Fundamental, Enumerated, and Individual Right. Something we here have long-held to be true. This landmark decision will now set the groundwork for giant leaps to be made including a sound, fundamental challenge to the National Firearms Act which implements a tax on what is now affirmed to be a civil right. This one Supreme court decision, a case the NRA declined to take, may end up being one of the most
  6. Absolutely. The men were still armed and still moving. They could have easily turned and started shooting back... and as a matter of fact I believe that one of the reasons they didn't stop to turn back is because all they kept hearing was 'BANG BANG BANG BANG'. Now, once they exited the store and were out of sight, going outside and continuing to chase them would put someone's claim to self defense into question. This older gentlemen performed superbly. He waited until he had an opportunity to draw and acted quickly and violently which gave him the edge over these punks. I wish I c
  7. BE is good also, but not one of my favorites. I find it hard to buy Steve Buscemi as a gangster. They should have cast someone at least a little more physically imposing. What about Mr Pink?
  8. I believe when I aligned mine I popped the factory mag in and brought the BG back to meet it. Haven't had a single FTF out of either the factory mag or surplus metal.
  9. Yeah I've shot about 850 rd of the 1000rd case of Tul I bought off of Ammoman. Probably 6-10 FTF total this is the first FTExtract, Had a few problems with light strikes but that wasn't the ammo's fault. So 830ish good shots. May buy again strictly for range plunking. It's so cheap.
  10. I also found the OP very difficult to follow. The picture helped to know what you were talking about though. I had a problem with a retaining clip from CSS. I ended up putting one of the original rivet pins back in after tapping (threading) it on the end. Then I used a screw to hold it in with the original spring. Here's the thread. How it helps. After painting it black it looks fine. http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/topic/75568-css-retaining-plate-fit/
  11. The 7.62x39 I pickup is exactly as you described. The "meat" of the trunnion did not seem thin to me. I fucked up the bullet guide (I still think the drill sent with the tap is too small) and ended up drilling it larger and put a 8-32 button head (with the sides of the head filed a hair to fit into the BG slot). A little red locktite on the screw. No problems. Have put about 400-500 rounds through it without a single hiccup. BG still tight.
  12. I did check it. Just by looking at it, feeling it's spring resistance, and the edge. It looked fine. Also the fact that after I pulled the charge handle and let it cycle home the extractor engaged the case. Then in order to pull the BCG back off of the case I had to pop it pretty firmly with the base of my palm. I think the extractor is okay. Any other more precise test you recommend to check it?
