  1. As I look at my options for stocks, I can't help but wonder: Who's got the best butt?
  2. Hoping to expand on the AR15 forum resources: http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_4_92/57067_.html&page=1. Who are your favorite sources for imported and US made Galil parts? In particular, I'm looking for a collapsible AK stock (not AR adapt; US MADE ideal) and operators manual for production models.
  3. I feel more Midwestern every day... No bullet button, open carry state, ... Sorry, I posted in the regional section per a request on the other topic. If I could delete one, I would.

  5. Which gunsmiths in Columbus, OH (and surrounding area) are capable and recommended for Saiga 12 work?

  7. Looking for the full length vented galil-style handguard for a 19" Saiga 12.
  8. I did not know that. Wish they would mention that in the packaging... Oh, well. At least I have saiga-12.com! Thanks, I'll do more sanding. Because of the amount of material interference, I opted for sanding the ribbing. Figured it was better to shave some off the larger extrude and not risk a weak tab.

  10. In order to get the Promag magazine to rock into place I sanded the rear tab so it cleared the magazine release. It rocks into place, but it does not lock--easy to pull it out regardless of the magazine release. Haven't used it yet and don't think it would be safe to do so in the present state. What can I do to the magazine to get it to lock? Alternatively, should I be examining the magazine release / seeking warranty service? Edit: An AGP 10 round magazine rocked and locked with no modifications. Edit: An SGM Tactical 10 round magazine rocked and locked with no modificat
  11. Cleaning and curiosity. When I un-boxed, there was a serious abundance of grease.
  12. More specifically, I need to know how to separate the guide rod, return-spring guide, plunger, return spring, guide brush, and guard (collectively know as the "retraction mechanism" in the schematic). I've already removed the return spring and guard, which are a simple matter of lateral force.
  13. How does one fully disassemble the retraction mechanism?
