  1. lol, I didnt know what a turkey shoot was....
  2. I understand that you can get good scopes for cheaper prices, Im not flaming or anything. Although I would generally tend to stay away from crappier stuff....like I said, spend around 150 and you can get really good optics.
  3. Why does everyone want really crappy optics!? Not to be unreasonable about wanting to save money but.....if you spend about 150 you can get a bushnell elite 3200 tactical scope, heard its very very good for the money. Heck, you can even get a Nikon 3-9x for about 120 if you know how to find deals.
  4. I would get the .308, almost twice the power and way more range and accuracy than the 7.62X39. A bolt action is nice to have because they generally have excellent accuracy but, the .308 saiga is said to have excellent accruracy with the right shooter and ammo. The saiga would be alot cheaper too, you could get the .308 and the X39 for the price of a M700.
  5. lol, team saiga....seems to be a pretty cool idea. Im actually talking to my brother in law about joining to see if maybe we could carpool to go out to your range....I guess we'll see what happens. Turkey shoot...dang, I would suck at it, Ive never hunted I just enjoy to shoot my guns....lol.
  6. Hey Indy, yeah that would be sweet! I live right off of E.Henrietta rd, Its like two mins from the thruway. So would you be really just like a few mins away? I think it would be cool to do something like that, especially since im looking into joining a range and stuff. Before I only went out to my brother in laws house and shoot in scottsville in the woods, but since that was only rimfires the centerfire would be too loud for the area. Yeah, in about two weeks or so im gonna order a saiga when im done paying my bills and spending money for my girlfriends bday, we should go shoot....ive had thi

It could work with epoxy, but DONT EVER use jb weld. I am a welder by trade and everyone ive seen who uses jb weld comes in disappointed, whether its a big or a very small fix. If the jb does'nt hold on the trigger lets say, then it has to be fixed, and jb doesnt come off worth crap and redoing the jb would be stupid. Im not trying to say it might not work, but there are way better alternatives then using epoxy.

I dont think apoxy would be strong enough...at all. Why not just find a local machinist, bring in the trigger and get a quote. He can machine all the parts needed really quick and should'nt be that expensive.
  9. ok, sorry, thanks anyways though.
  10. This topic may be alittle old but, It makes no sense to start a new topic based on the same thing.....I have only one question, If I buy the S-308, Do I have to replace any parts or can I just keep it how it came?
  11. I like that page, ive looked at it before. Im impressed to see he got some squirrels at over 200 yards!
  12. Corning, thats bout 80 miles from where I live, very cool! When I bought my 17 I shot a bird with the cci hp to see the damage......the bird flew about 7 feet and the bullet left a 7" diameter crater that was about 3 inches deep....pretty impressive for a lil pil of a bullet.
  13. I love it! Ive only had the chance to shoot it once but it was extremely accurate! Although, im sorta mad that the local store is selling box's of 50 for 12 bucks....used to be 8. Thanks for the information!
  14. Hi, I wasnt sure which forum to post this under, so my question is, How old do you have to be to obtain one? Im asking this because on the website they talk aboud 18 and 21 but Im not sure which one is required? thanks for any help.
