9mm Vs. .40
Live2Ride replied to Zombiehunter762's topic in General Discussion - Any topic is welcome here!!!
I have a Springfield XD in .40, never had a ftf, fte, misfire or anything wrong. Even dropped it in the mud (by accident), blew out the barrel and it shot fine. Have about 5k rounds through her now, shes bout 1 year old. I just don't like how glocks shoot for me, great gun, just not for me. I am planning on going and buying another XD in 40, I like to have multiples of the same. Don't like change much. I have no doubt that most anything I carry, be it a 9, 40, 45, will stop any attacker. It's not really the caliber, it's more about where I am going to place those 8-10 rounds in -

If its any consolation, my wife and I have been going through the shit lately as well, and she is like 2 days from giving birth. Her family is off their rockers. If you live anywhere around the Sacramento California area, I will come pick you up and take you to one of our secret spots to go shoot. I'll even bring some shit we can blow up. hit me up on a PM if you are. and no, I am not 400 lbs of naked white old man sitting online trying to pick up boys online..... -
I have a couple of questions. I converted my S12 by myself and she runs like a raped ape now. Last shoot I kind of spaced changing the gas setting (stock gas system), and we were shooting clay's with low powered loads. When I took the gun with a fresh mag I checked it and she was still on setting 1, shootin' low powered stuff with no issues. So I am totally happy with her. So, on to my questions. I used ATI's Scorpion grip and the 6 position collapsible stock on the S12. Love it and want to use it on my 7.62. the main question I have is about ATI's forward hand guard. Has

Just curious. is there an advantage to having a vented Gas tube? or is it just for looks?

In MA a shotgun has a hi-cap mag if it is larger than 5 rounds, are you sure that 10 is ok? I would check, because our ban is based off the federal and if Cali followed that in anyway you may be out of compliance Edit: so I just read up on the Cali stuff (simple google search) AND mag limit in Cali is only for hunting, which is 3. BUT, you cannot have a folding/collapsible stock AND pistol grip at the same time, so if yours does collapse, you are in fact out of compliance And the Cali legal code for good measure "The term “assault weapon” also means any firearm that falls under one of the

so other than not being able to have hi cap magazine and the "bullet button" how does my S12 differ from others? I am in the process of converting my Saiga 7.62, which will look almost identical (the front handguard will be more AK style). I will post pics when I am done. I saw these pictures and cringed, I think most of those are from the month after the ban. Nobody had come up with a method around the AWB yet.

When I first got mine, the first 400 rounds were 00 and slugs only, didn't try anything else. then I started using some other lighter loads at setting 2, converted, and now she will spit out anything I put through, even the light clay target loads from last weekend. I had a blast shooting clays, if I missed one, I still had 9 tries to get it. When on target, I was shooting pieces of the hit clay 4 times before it would hit the ground. get her back to stock and use only heavy loads for a while. I can't comment on the AGP mag, other than the SGM I have works flawlessly.
