  1. I filed my mag catch to click with the poly bulgarians and they still click tight with the steel mag, but it looks like I would have to file them even more to fit the poly tapcos...don't know if I should or not
  2. I just converted one with no gunsmithing experience and very little shop experience. It got frustrating at times because of all the things that could go wrong, went wrong for me, but the guys on this board are great help. I say convert because you get the chance to build a relationship with your gun
  3. I got it to fit from following you guys advice....i did some slight bending and screwed on the front bolt first (behind the mag catch)....I did not get a problem with the nut interfering with the hammer though.
  4. Thanks for the insight...i still haven't decided which to file yet lol
  5. Thanks very much...but like mogunner, my guide does not slide under the match catch either.
  6. Hope all is well, I am almost done with my first conversion and is now stuck on the trigger guard. It is a very tight fit and I can only get the screw to go through for the rear hole. The hole near the magazine catch needs to move up just a tiny bit, but I'm not sure how to go about doing it. I don't want to mess up the magazine catch. Any input or feedback would be great appreciated. Thanks I ordered the bolt on rounded from CSS http://store.carolin...uard-DIY/Detail
  7. Hey guys, I'm just starting my conversion and this board has been tons of help already. I have a question in regards to filing the magazine catch to fit standard ak mags. As I am filing for it to fit polymer bulgarian 30 and 40 round mags, my friend comes by with steel mags and they pop in and click just fine. So what do you guys suggest? Should I continue to file in order to fit the bulgarian poly and risk movement with the
  8. Thanks for the input guys. Looks like you cant go wrong either way

  11. Hey good people, I just got my hands on a new iz332 and is starting my first conversion. From what Ive been seeing the round trunnion bullet guides have a small hangover. Is this the case for the flat trunnion also? The bullet guide I bought does not hangover at all. Do I have to move it up to make it hangover or flush or is it fine where it is? I have attached pics for viewing. Thanks in advance Also can someone please tell me what the brown substance is under the barrel.
