  1. My God.....it would be so great to meet the man that this kid grows into.
  2. Thanks Squish...I saw that I'm lookin for any first hand experience. I figured you'd done some legwork, I posted the link for others like myself who might not have heard of such a thing. I know you've also seen the listings on Gun Broker for these. Seems it's a pricey setup.
  3. "Stand Up Guys" w/ Pacino, Walken and Arkin. Worth a watch on Netflix

Maybe I just wasn't in a good mood when I saw it, but I thought it sucked, might have to watch it again.

  4. You come to Ralph Johnson MC? Cool, I'm there too on occasion, I live about 8 miles from it. Give me a yell next time you're headed this way and if you have the time, stop by the range and a shoot a full auto on me. (uh, not at me)
  5. Need a sight installation/adjustment tool that will work on a SIG P220 pistol. Not interested in the $50 "universal" type, or the tool for the Pro series pistols. Prefer MGW (Maryland Gun Works) I prefer to own but since these tools appear to be hard to find I'd also be interested in renting one. PM with either your price to sell or to rent. Thanks!
  6. It's law. Governor Haley signed the bill today.
  7. I'm on an uncovered (no mat, no Linoleum) concrete floor all day so these work well. I know I'd need something different if I were outdoors or on a rough surface moving around.
  8. I obtained a pair of New Balance tan boots which appear to be well made and are comfortable over my wide feet. At work I grabbed a mop out of a mop bucket I thought had water in it and dribbled some on my left boot. Turns out the bucket had a wax/water mixture in it so the drops I though would dry are now as dark as they ever were. Anyone know of the best way to try and clean this up? I know they'll never look new but I'd like to minimize the spots.
  9. From people like me who paid that much from "private" importers before any retailer had them listed.
  10. Here's another one, read the story and then the first comment, I no shit LOL'd at this; http://www.thesmokinggun.com/buster/robbery-victim-slapped-in-face-with-penis-576432
  11. Funny stuff, the first review alone got 591 comments...I've been reading Amazon reviews awhile, have never seen anything like this.
  12. I don't post stuff like this to inform, you'll hear it til you are sick of hearing it without it being posted here. I post this to very clearly show how the MSM always seeks first and foremost to promote anti-gun hysteria by telling lies of omission. Here is the story that accompanied the headline of this post; (Reuters) - Gunfire erupted at a Hawaii high school on Tuesday, possibly injuring up to two people, and a 17-year-old was taken into custody after the incident on the Honolulu school campus, police said. Honolulu police spokeswoman Teresa Bell said the situation was under c

He's good and they added Billy Johnson who did those great vids as "AmidsttheNoise".

  14. How goes the education? Any new developments ? Actually I've watched a few episodes of Modern Sniper on Netflix and picked up some bits and pieces...A better understanding of the overall concepts behind long range shooting I'd say. And no flys to speak of to snipe at....Palmetto Bugs, another matter.
  15. Well let's see if Lucas Transmission Fix will give me a few more miles out of my Toyota so I can prepare for the $1,500 rebuild or the boneyard...a decision yet to be made.

Have you checked boneyard for used?

My 200k taco will, get one of these when needed.

That sounds to be cost price for rebuild still good price.

Actually it's more like $1,400. The mech is a friend of mine, he says it would normally be $1,800. Don't know whether or not to take a gamble on something used, might be fine....might not.

If you can check before purchase look at fluid color.

      Should be pinkish light red.

Some yards give 90day-1yr parts warranty.

Either way don't forget to flush trans cooler or change it.

  16. Nothing about reciprocity in the law at all. Not sure how that's done. Btw, I got my Utah permit in today's mail so now I'm GTG in 36 states. According to the S.L.E.D. website three states have been added to the list compared to the old list I have; North Dakota, New Mexico, Idaho (Enhanced Only). Evidently Idaho's "regular" permit does not require much training if any. The enhanced version requires some or more training. Only two states recognize the enhanced permit only, South Carolina and Wyoming. The rest recognize either both or neither. Yeah it's a patchwork betw
  17. This is exactly what Chuck Norris wants you to think. Then one day you look in your rear view mirror and see him sitting in your rear seat with a "You're fucked" smile on his face...then darkness...and pain.....
  18. While the restaurant carry prohibition removal is the most talked about part of the bill there are other positive changes to the law. I'm hoping S.L.E.D. is going to distribute a synopsis of the changes and a new exam soon as I have a class Monday and another Saturday. After teaching the core safety concepts the law is the second most important part of the class.
  19. Thanks for the input so far everyone. I'm on a mission to educate myself about all of this and I'll share what I learn.
  20. After obtaining my Vepr 54r (20.5") and making a few modest mods the remaining thing to be done is to choose a scope. My initial thoughts are I'd like to be able to reach out 2-300 yards but I'm not really sure what the capabilities and limitations of this round are. I've spent no small amount of time reading descriptions of various optics but frankly I have little idea what I'm looking at. I'm sure I could simply ask for recommendations, you guys would ask me a few questions and then the opinions would roll in. But to be honest, I think I'd be selling myself short to go about it thi
  21. I've meant to check to see just how hot barrels get but I always forget my infrared thermometer. Anybody every measure the temps?
