  1. Well...Do you still have the Norinco for sale?I'ved trying the PM feature(clicked on people's user name/read "HELP"section) but apparently,I'M LOST ON PM'S! I'm "checked" in my "controls" to receive PM's.Please PM me or post an update on the Norinco. Pictures are not necessary for me--I've downloaded views elsewhere of a peeped Norinco hunter. I'm thinking CASH w/FFL---USPO MO. Could you add a few words about the "condition", if the Norinco is still available?.....
  2. I picked-up a mac-90 thumbhole to consider mounting on a saiga & see there is no wood inside the receiver for locking down the 2nd. top screw. I'll add w/dowels a mounting block (if I decide to install it) for the extra strength to both the stock & the receiver. Did I get a bubba-ed thumbhole? How are everyone else mounting the chinese thumbholes? Is the longer mac-91 thumbhole designed in the same manner? Thank's for any replies!
  3. S.A. Battlepacks---7 bx.of 20 (140rds.) At $9/bx.($63/battlepack) is just about as low a price as you will probably find. I remember a while back after picking-up a few dozen at $21 each,I quit that supplier when his price increased to $23---yeah,hindsight! Save your S.A. for the stach & go to "Cheaper than Dirt" where presently the '75 Indian (50 rd.w/strippers in bandliors) is presently priced at $20--ok blasting ammo(avoid the 90's Indian-308 if you find any).Yeah, once again,I went elsewhere after picking-up 30/40 bandliors when the price rose above $7.50.Presently, ANY .308 at .50/rd.
  4. Obviously--Get the payment first! As stated by all--long guns to be mailed USPO(cheapest w/ins.) by yourself. As for the recepient being only an FFL--ONLY IF IT IS ACROSS STATE LINES(BARF rule for tracing purposes). If you're not shipping out-of-state,individual-state-law governs...example:ILLINOIS--buyer sends to seller with payment a copy of Illinois FOID card & driver license---home delivery---. OK,bring on the responces to refuit !!
  5. Hey--"Great Thanks" from me to you guys! Just tried both of your "click-on" addresses in your responces--NO GO!! Looks like I'll have to go into my computer's brain looking for a hacker--unreal!!--THANK YOU--%^&*##
  6. Outstanding recoil pads & muzzlebrakes from these two folks! I see that some members have purchased from their web-sites. I haven't been able for about 2 wks. to raise either site. Anybody know what's up ???---Snow storm,out-of-business, ISP cencorship, bug in the system---??? Thank's for any replies!
  7. Effective Combat Range .45 ACP-5'' brl.--(personal observation)--100yds.---DUCK YOUR HEAD OR DIE!!! Practice : Dangling-bowling pins at 25yds. Standing pins & claybirds at 100yds.---.45 ACP is also useful in a riccochate combat senerio!
  8. Illinois doesn't permit people here to possess several types of ammo---"No Exploding Ammo Allowed". If you live on the side of the river where you're allowed, talk to "those in the know" about the use of mercury & parafin. If you don't know what you're doing, experimentation could result in extreme, painful mutilation or death! Be a wiseman, not a fool! Knowledge is a dangerous tool to place in the mind of a fool--ooohhh,pretty colors! And, yes, specialty ammo can serve a purpose in the right senerio---Stay healthy & enjoy what you can of your life!
  9. Yes,and it will only get worse here in illinois & throughtout "OUR" country! Born, raised,&enlisted to serve right here in illinois. Done my Nixon 'Nam time---lucky to bring my testicals back to the USA. I will take them to my grave here in illinois.Shakesphere wrote quite abit about life & death--the human condition. If you kick every dog you encounter, eventually one will go for your throat! "Intimidation" has become a common practice for population control in "OUR" country! Goodluck with all rational communications with "AUTHORITY" here in illinois!
  10. I own one--would like a pair. Price depends: 4 styles of sights produced / 2 styles of mag release levers / 3-hole drilled for side-receiver scope mount or non-drilled receiver---Basically:used-$300-$350 & new-$400-$450.
  11. My opnion----"FunFactor" consideration is a good thing in all aspects of life. If you don't have "long range capacity", you should go for the .308 and get properly equipped & trained in it's use. Remember:--"and she'll have fun, fun, fun 'till her daddy takes her T-Bird away"---??
  12. "AKParts.com" ---$10.00 Romanian wood thumbhole -/- $30.00 Chinese wood mac-91 thumbhole(made in USA) Also, other "goodies"!!
  13. I've heard about the stepped-chamber for Russian goverment civilian-gun chamber identification. Does this extra expanded-step render the brass unusable in any other .223 weapons? Now I'm hearing about the added bolt-face ring causing the primers to be mushroomed rendering their removal to be difficult/impossible--said to be deliberate by the Russian goverment for the sole purpose of stopping civilian reloading. I don't re-load now, but I may in the future. Should the brass be considered unuseable for re-loading as is the steel-cased berdin-primed ammo? Haven't picked-up a .223 weapon yet for a

  15. The NRA quote makes a pretty good reasoning to be thankful to the existance of this "blessing" of our rightous leaders. Seeing the NRA's "buy-it-now"/"happy,happy,joy,joy" attitude in print, brings to mind why they originally existed & what they now, present-day, represent---"two far ends of the stick". Remember that hippie song:"It has begun,we're in the hands of destiny"? Singing a tune can spread the word--to do a job "needed done" requires physical action. Yes, it has begun---it began at the birth of man.
  16. ATTENTION: New mak-91 wood chinese thumbhole w/ buttplate/pad at ----AKParts.com---I e-mailed Chris(tech support) a few days back concerning manufacturer.Originally these were supplied by either Boyd or Bishop -2 USA companies.Chris says he got a truckload a while back--he understood they were mounted on the mak-91 for import 922r. complience. He also states--- no choice of manufacturer(one w/pad-the other w/plate)--sounds to be made in the USA & " 922r.complient"----YEAH!!!--------Bring your own(longer) pistolgrip bolt----$30.00 -- $30.00 -- $30.00---a 48hr. SECRET !!!!!!!!!!!!!---------N
  17. Any imported thumbhole changed to "pistol grip" configeration must take 922r into consideration.Several excellent quality double-hook trigger assemblies in the chinese thumbhole imports were/are removed in the 922r.considerations. Understand the count & research your choices---perhaps, if the mechanism must be removed, it's replacement will be "prettly posed in pink".
  18. that's true too... a buddy has a CETME that wasn't built by the drunken monkeys... it actually works.. LOL I advise choosing the 308 for the knock-down power---afterwards you may acquire a .223 weapon & ammo from the ground. However, do acquire a Saiga .223 secondly to enable use of any "free" .223. Yes,.308 prices are outrageous--give thought to "why" & borrow money to stockpile ammo rather than to purchase a newer year "blue mini-van". The lower recoil of the .223 is obviously much more "user friendly" for women & children, therefore, one should be available. The Saiga .

  20. Hi, Nicely-balanced--308 ! On trades, I've got a Colt,1st addition Detective Special w/ holster & a Jap NCO W11 1st.addition Tokyo Army Arsenal matching #'s SWORD/STEEL SCABBARD ...& a poorman's BEN FRANKLIN for negotiations. Also, Was recoil reduction with the 74-type break significient?
  21. I understand that all Saiga rifles use the same recoil-spring and that, no matter the caliber, it's a regular ak recoil-spring. FalcomArms sells ak recoil-springs/all spring sets/etc. made from what they call "chrome silicon" rather than regular ak springs made with "music wire". They claim 3 x the life expectancy & better each step of the way! I'm thinking "308"--- could only be beneficial. ----Do we "trust blindly" that the gas system of all Saigas is "well- thought" and tuned to each application? Have "chrome silicon" recoil-springs been used personally? Did the "feel of ignition" no
  22. What purpose do the rings serve in the original ak-design?--Do they create a "gas turbulance cushion"--reducing friction by centering the piston in the tube? Is the purpose of the vents to reduce "excess" gas pressure during rapidfire? Is the 308 "gas tapoff hole" the same size as other aks? I'd like to think the design engineers in Russia put an appropriate amount of thought into building an ak in the 308 caliber.----REMEMBER MOTHER'S SAYING : Those people wouldn't be placed in a position of authority and responsibility, unless they were capability of doing the job and know what's best for y
  23. I believe that 922r was before any concepts of "pre- or post" and applies to all foreign imports. Both the Hunter & the saigas are complient in their stock imported configerations.Adding an "evil feature" such as a pistop grip to either and 922r needs to be considered. The Hunter was approved as "suitabe for sporting purposes" & was imported with the ability to accept all standard ak-type mags. The saigas were import approved with 10 or less round mag ability-- does using a larger than 10rd mag justify a 922r consideration? Some say yes / some say no---Congradulations on your impulse to
  24. I been shooting a chinese Hunter for a couple years (approx. 600rds.) I'd buy another--right time, right price! It took a couple hundred rds.throught it before I could depend on the trigger returning forward on its own. They were made with at least four different types of sights arrangments--my flip-up leaf rear had to be cut-loose from the dovetail & re-welded to the right to get the front post centered satisfactory. Solid milled receiver, long barrel, takes all reg.ak mags & drums---do a 922r with RedStar adj. trigger group,Tapco piston,& pistolgrip of your choice / double-couple so
  25. In the 308--why a smooth (no grooves) piston head? Also, why no "front/on top" vents on the gastube? Where is the gas designed to vent? If the gastube is drilled for vents, would a grooved-head piston better aid the venting process?
