  1. What is the website called that you ordered the AK A5 .223 MAGAZINE REBUILD KITS from?
  2. First of all, I live in California. I wanted to know if anyone knew where to buy Saiga .223 rebuild kits online other then CALEGALMAGS.COM or MISSISSIPPIARMS.COM? I read a post on here from someone also in California that wrote they purchased some but, they didn't say what site. The mags were called AK A5 mags. If anyone knows where to buy any, please do tell. Thanks.
  3. I purchased my saiga .223 for $415 ($470 out the door after everything) last February. And when I came back to pick it up after the 10 day waiting period the price on the rifle went from $415 to $465. Also thinking about getting one in .308 because I found a gun store 40 minutes from my house that sells them for $460+ tax and backround check.
  4. I hold right were the forearm tab screws into the reciver at. IMO It just feels better that way to me. I have more control over my movements. Once I get some money for a utg quad rail I'll put a forward assist on the same spot.
  5. I was wondering if anyone has sent there saiga rifles to ARSENAL LAS VEGAS (or somewhere else) to have the conversion done? What I want to know is, how much did everything cost? Thanks
  6. I was wondering if someone on here can point me in the right direction of finding some 10/30 SAIGA .223 MAGAZINES? I bought 2 surefire 10 rounders and now I want a couple 10/20 or 10/30 round magazines. So if you know a website or a store that does phone orders PLEASE let me know. It's RETARDED that here in California we can't have any mags over 10 round capacity. ...................................................................... Thanks
  7. That damn open bolt feature on the surefire mags nicked my bolt and made it leave deep groove like scratches across the bullet casing when the charging handle went across the bullets. I had to file the chip part down and file a 45 degree angle so that my bolt wouldn't catch anymore. Also, I couldn't put all 10 rounds in the mag. If I did, it wouldn't lock into place. I had to sand the bottom of the follower and cut a 1/2" off the bottom plastic peice so that I could fit 10 rounds in and have the mag click in my gun.
  8. Im new to AK's and I was wondering if some of you on this forum could share some knowledge of how to properly clean the action, barrel, and gas tube on a SAIGA .223? Any advice will help because the manual that came with my rifle is in mostly Russian and the English part dosen't give a throuogh brake down of cleaning it. Thanks for taking the time to reading this
  9. My friend told me that every time I clean or oil my barrel that I have to take the gas piston tube off and get a small hose to blow the oil that might go up the gas port in the barrel. I was wondering if he is correct? Cause he said that if that oil gets on my gas piston while I'm firing it could blow up the rifle. Im new to AK's and was wondering what kind of cleaning process do some of you do while cleaning your .223 saigas. Thanks
  10. I recently bought some 10 round surefire mags and that damn bolt hold nicked the bottom of my bolt and it was leaving deep groves in the brass when I would cock it. I had to file down my bolt and file a slope into the back of the bolt hold peice on the mag. Also it wouldn't let me put a full 10 round clip in. I had to take it apart and sand down the bottom part of the top follower about 2/16th's of an inch untill it would fit good in my rifle without horsing it in. I found a store by my house that sells the factory 10 rounders for $20 so I went with those.
