I actually got a stock set today off of craigslist from a guy for $35. The only thing is the upper hand guard is broken in two pieces. Not too worried though, I'll just get one from apex

Budget isn't too much of an issue as I want my saiga to look nice, I'd say I wouldn't really want to spend more than $50 on a handguard unfinished... Where could I find US made? I'd like pretty good condition for the wood.

Does anybody know the best/ cheapest place to buy wooden ak hand guards? I was just wondering if anyone knows good deals or where they have gotten theirs.

I love the look of that rail on the reciever but wouldn't it need zero'd in every time you take the reciever off?

I just got my saiga a few days ago so I have not converted it yet but I was wondering once I have everything I want done to the gun, how could I give it my own paintjob? I saw many custom painted saigas in the "show us your Saiga!" thread lol and many people said they painted them theirselves. How exactly do you do it (for those who have)? I saw a three tone camo painted saiga and loved the design! Looked kinda as though you could wrap tape around the siaga then paint it, then wrap more tape and paint over in a different color, and so on... would this work for creating my own camo saiga?

So I have been wanting a Saiga 7.62 for a while and just so happened to see one in the local gun shop! I also turned 18 today so I thought it'd be a nice present to myself Its a 2009 with dimpled receiver! Very nice quality rifle and I cannot wait to convert it!! I also happened to be with my friend and the guy said he had another one so my friend bought that one as well! lol I'm dying to shoot it tomorrow! Just thought i'd share my excitement with you guys! Also, how could I make my picture files smaller? Tried posting a pic but it says the file is too large

What is so great about the dimples? I noticed a lot of people want them. What are they useful for? I looked and it says out of stock...otherwise I would deff take one for that price... How can I get into contact with them?

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum here and I use other forums regularly so I'm not too lost on what's all on here. Anyway, I was wondering if someone could point me to where I can get a nice saiga 7.62x39mm? I don't want to spend much more than $400. I'd also like to convert it shortly after I find one. Any help is appreciated!
