  1. I know this is an AK forum and this particular post pertains to a handguard for AR's. Hope this is OK. I met the guy who manufactures these. He told me they were currently being sold to the military and the only civilians who have them are on test weapons. However it didn't stop him from selling me one. My pictures arent the greatest so I will explain what you are seeing and hopefully do it justice. The hand guard has two rail systems that rotate in any direction you want independent of one another. So basically as you will see you can rotate the forward grip to the side moving the
  2. What should take 2 minutes, well hasn't. I cannot get a new 2 piece handguard to go on straight. Notice that inside the Delta Ring the sprocket is off center. How do I turn this? What tool should I use. Little nervous turning it as I don't want to screw something up. I need just 1/32 if a turn. Thx S&W M&P AR15
  3. Thanks Atlantic Firearms for everything. Gun arrived quickly. Looks great. I couldn't be happier.
  4. Personally I am amazed. Back story: Bought my 15 year old daughter a cheapy Mossberg 22 LR that looks like an AR. Put on a cheapy scope for effect. Went to range hurting on time. I spent first three shooting rounds trying to zero in the piece of junk scope. She is now impatient and starving and losing all interest. So I put covers back on scope and sight in the open sights. Got it so aiming at top right of center circle is hitting bulls. 40 Yards now with open sights. I give her a quick run down on where to aim. She has never shot before. She only got about 10 minutes before range went
  5. I was amazed. And you would have to know him to really chuckle and be amazed. I have been to his home 100's of times and not one shred of evidence exists of a military career. We've had so many conversations both drunk and sober and this was never mentioned. He couldn't have been planning my 40th birthday for 8 years!
  6. This happened a few years ago. My wifes uncle asks me to take him to the shooting range and show him how to shoot a gun. This was really a diversion for my 40th bday suprise party. I brought 2 AR-15's, glock 17 and a Kahr P9. Start off at 100 yards. I tape a few quarters to the target to show off my skills in front of her uncle only to empty a full mag and hitting everything but the quarter (off day . He all the while has been asking questions that a beginner would ask and after some safety lessons and showing him how the guns work etc he is ready to start shooting. Starts out with AR-15, n
  7. Ya I was aware its a heavy beast. The workout will do me good.
  8. Congratulations. Your order has been placed. Please hit the print button in your browser and make a copy for your records. Zastava AK-47 M70 PAP 7.62x39 Rifle $679.00 Im stoked. Can't wait to beat the crap out of this thing. Ordered from Atlantic Firearms. The more I looked the more I realized I wanted a no frills AK. When I have the urge to go to the range and play Rambo that's what one of my AR15's is for. Thanks for the help guys and ChiliRelleno for the suggestion.
  9. I think I am liking the Zastava too. The more I am thinking about this I kind of just want a plain old AK47. The heavily modified ones start looking like an AR15 and I already have a heavily modified AR15. (own 2 AR's) The AK i fell in love with from the beginning is exactly what you see in every war movie with an AK and the Zastava is that gun. I am seconds away from pulling the trigger on this purchase. Thanks for all the help.
  10. The one that isn't being mis-represented/hyped up by its seller to make more money from those who don't know any better. Other than that, if I wanted a genuine Russian AK and didn't want to do the conversion myself, then I would just get an Arsenal AK. They're regarded as top notch. I am not buying from gunbroker, just used that as a reference. I am just anxious to buy as I've been waiting forever for red jacket which obviously cannot fill orders. I want to buy from a dealer direct with a good reputation. Thx
  11. What about a Krinkov M92 from Atlantic Firearms? I know nothing about this gun. I am starting to change my mind a bit about doing some mods myself. You guys are talking me into it. Is there somewhere I can get a complete parts list? Or how about this question...if you were going to buy an AK right now on Gunbroker.com which one would you get? Thanks again.
  12. Love shooting but not gonna pretend I know anything about modifying a gun. Plus I am just too busy and just want o purchase the right thing. Ordered an RKSP from red jacket but after 9-10 months without a return phone call from them I am canceling my order. Where can I get a similar or better AK? What should I be looking for? Reading the Internet about these guns is too confusing cause it's hard to determine who is just trying to make a sale. Thanks
