Shotgun was properly zeroed out of the box and works reliably with light loads and even light reloads which we use for practice in our pump shotguns. It will be sad if I will ruin this reliability. by difference I meant size and number of gas ports or any other differences which I should address after shortening a barrel.   2. Greetings, I recently purchased a brand new Saiga 12 but unfortunately only model S, with long barrels where available. I would like to shorten the barrel to 12K standard, it means 43 sm-s. I tried to search for info on barrel shortening but was unable to find answer on simply question: do I need to alter gas system after shortening a barrel? I think the best place to ask about Saiga 12 is this place Actually I want to shorten it to 46 sm and wonder if I have to do something more than just chop off the barrel?
