  1. yes they are orlites, i havent modified the magwell or trunnion so the mags take a little modification to make them narrow enough.
  2. FS: saiga .223 converted by ak-usa manufacturing into an ak-102 clone. has 12" barrel with comp/flashider combo for legal length. has tapco SAW grip and folding stock, ak-100 series handguards. uses lightly modified 5.45 polymers/bakelights or galil 35 rd orlites. this rifle has had their custom hard refinishing, and cost me about $1000 to have built. comes with 6 converted mags (about $100 bucks worth) $700 shipped dguyette@satx.rr.com, im in SATX for FTF. note:shows here without incuded stock
  3. where can i get one of those if you dont mind me asking?
  4. i am selling my prized saiga .223 conversion. it was built by ak-usa last year. it is still in excellent condition, showing only signs of being fired, like on the brake. it has seen maybe 600 rounds total. i am selling to pick up a suitable subgun, like a vector v-53 or MP5 clone. rifle comes with 8 mags ( 2 galil 35 round orlites, 5 converted bulgie polymers and 1 converted bakelight.) also has tapco galil style folding stock, with a spacer which can be easily removed next month. the RPB stock in the pics is no longer on this gun. i have also added a sling and SAW grip. I ha
  5. i have 2 USP's, a .45 fullsize and 9mm compact. i love them both. the FS is quite a large gun, make sure you are able to release the mags and operate the safety without moving your hand. that is a smokin deal with 2 hicaps, make sure they arent LEO only mags.
  6. nice stuff guys. heres some of mine. L/R: berettta 1201 FP, saiga .223 converted to ak-102, arsenal ssr-56, romanian CUR 2 5.45, bushmaster M4a4, on 17" imbel FAL on bottom. DSA lower/Imbel upper on top, DSA tactical with para lower on bottom USP .45 fullsize, USP 9mm compact, SIGpro 2009 9mm
  7. you would have to do what you would normally have to do to an ak to obtain a folding stock. you would have to add a folding trunion in place of the regular one, or use a romy wire folder. the romy doesnt fit on my saiga .223, because the rivets that were put in to cover the original FCG holes stick out too far. you could use a bulgie sidefolder, a chinese underfolder if you cut the holes, or an AMD style wire if you wish. galil folders can also be made to work. you can install a folder and pin it, use a spacer, or weld it until spet, then return it to normal configuration whe

    galil mags

sheik, you dont have the problem of the mags having play from front to back? i notice 5.45 mags have a little indent on top that act as a spacer between the mag and the rail. galil orlites dont have this, and dont sit the right way. they feed perfectly when the mag is pushed forward, but then there is a gap between the mag and the brace on the rail and they rock back and forth unless held. im assuming if i put a spacer on the back of the galil mag to make it fit this would not allow it to fit in the original weapon, and i dont have a .223 galil around to try it out on. i guess the spacer
  9. ok spent a little time on it, and being im a lazy bastard, i copied a post i just made on another board and will paste it right here. ok so i have a saiga .223 conversion by ak-usa that uses 5.45 mags with robarm followers. i have converted several successfully, but was curious about the galil 35 round orlites. as you can see they are similar to the 5.45 mags but there is a narrow section on the front of the mag matched by an indent in the magwell of the ak. i ground down the first half rib on the galil mag to allow it to fit in the magwell at all. 1st mag is 5.45 polymer
  10. i filed down the front rip and got it to fit. it feeds, but only if i push forward on it, it has a little play front to back. should i "shore up" the rear of the mag with something, like glue or epoxy?
  11. question, i just bought some to try in my ak-usa conversion. the front of the mag was too wide, so i ground off a little from both sides. now it fits, but will only feed the first round. the second will always hit the bottom of the bullet guide and get stuck. any suggestions?
  12. i made an order a few nights ago so we'll see...
  13. those vepr mags are just bulgarian polymer 5.45 mags with robarm .223 followers and a little grinding on the front of the mag to clear the .223 trunion. i have done about a dozen like this. galil .223's? i was just looking at cdnn and wondering about this. looks like ill be placing an order!
  14. my saiga conversion does that periodically, when it starts it will jam every two rounds, but then it will just stop abruptly and start working fine again. i use 5.45 polymers that have been grinded to clear the trunion, i wonder if i took too much or too little material off.
  15. mines not a folder, its an RPB fixed stock. after sept i plan on adding a bulgie side folder but that will require riveting the receiver. therefore, i have no answer to your question, sorry.
