The DPH adapter did not fit... The angle was different and fitting looked like an exercise in futility... Words can not express my disappointment... I guess I will try the Choate Draganuv and hope it fits...

I know the wrath is going to come down on me for this... but... Tapco mags count as three compliant parts... I ordered the Vepr adapter from CSS and should have it any day... I will let you all know how it fits...

Does anyone know if the DPH wood stock adapter for the VEPR will fit this receiver? I love my rifle, but that slanted receiver has killed my replacement stock options...

The smell of Hoppes #9 gives me a boner!!!!

I just bought a crate of this stuff... I was surprised to hear air suck in when I opened one and then I caught the smell of "fresh" lacquer... I am going to seal 30 round packs with my kitchen vacuum sealer... Will this remove moisture well enough or should I still use a dessicant pack?

I never hear anyone mention cleaning their mags after using corrosive... Even polymer mags have springs, so should they be cleaned with water as well? On another note... I read of people running home as fast as they can to clean up after firing the stuff... What about all the countless armies using it during countless battles.... WHAT DID THEY DO???? I can't see them stopping every couple of hours to clean their rifles... How did they prevent their rifles from becoming rust buckets? Maybe they had a secret that is overlooked today...

I just recently purchased the same exact rifle... When i put the bullet guide in the bolt jammed up pretty good... I had to do a good bit of filing to the side of the bullet guide where the contact was taking place...i do not know if this is normal or not since I am knew to Saigas...

I am all psyched!!! I just finished the bullet guide and I am in the middle of filing the mag catch....

In case anyone reads all this... That spring worked perfectlyy with the G2 fcg, which was a breeze to install!!!!!

If your like me then you look for an excuse to tinker with your guns... I am looking forward to installing a new trigger... It will be fun and I will have a better trigger!!!! So after that I just have to use USA mags, although I still plan on replacing the stocks because I dig the Draganov look and it looks like Choate has the only stock that will fit my slanted receiver... It's also good to comply because there are so many out there looking for reasons to enact more gun restrictions on us, so they would just LOVE to show that gun owners are nothing more than law disregarding in breeders that

The more I look at it I may just keep the spring if it is just holding the pins... It seems to be doing a good job and does not look that hard to put back in... Of course I am a newbie, so let me know if that is a bad idea..

I just purchased a Saiga 7.62 x 39 with the thumbhole stock and longer barrel...I am in the process of researching and gathering parts to make it compliant...My Saiga has a "bolt-stop spring"... I found this pic on the forum that shows the spring... It is the spring on the bottom of pic.. I can not find any videos or tutorials that show or make reference to this spring and it being installed with new FCG's... I do NOT have the BHO lever.. It appears to me that this would not allow the use of the Sheperds Crook or retaining plate.. Has anyone installed a new FCG in a rifle that has this set up

I am new to this forum and just purchased my first Saiga... Its the Saiga-M2 with the thumbhole stock... I have done a lot of research here on the FCG as I begin to make it complient, but I still find myself with questions... My saiga does NOT have the BHO lever... Does anyone know what FCG I need that will drop in without having to be modified and is the retainer plate mandatory? I believe that G2 will work... Tapco states that it will not, but I believe that is due to the BHO lever in the Saigas... Thanks in advance for any help I receive....
