  1. Krebs has the sights your looking for. And your safety stop is upside down.
  2. How about a small trigger looking lever up high on the front of the mag that you use your pinkey finger on to pull the follower down. Maby something hinged. You still haf to hold the gun in that area any which way you load it. Could be that I'm used to pushing shells into a tube, as this would also have the hole in the back of the mag.
  3. Whai if you cut the back out of a 5 round mag, around the third and fourth shell down. And put a pull handle on the bottom of the follower that goes thru the floor plate. Pull the handle, through a couple shells in the back of the mag, let the handle go, then charge the gun.

    Bolt gap

Yeah, get rid of it, but the info could be used in the new " Don't Do This To Your Gun" thread.

    Bolt gap

Agreed. I can imagine problems if the bolt was any tighter. Capt Nemo, it looks to me like your barrel is in good shape, nice and smoothed up from the parts working together. Might want to leave that area alone. Also, I think a bit of resistance right before things go into battery is normal. You don't want to be too gentle chambering that first round.

    Bolt gap

Mine looks like that too. I think it likes to be that way because the last 500+ rounds thru it were flawless. All Federal 7 1/2 value packs.
  7. Glad I could help. Looks like we both have the same rail setup. That light is the smallest I could find. Fits around the handguard bracket good. While we're on the subject of flashlights, does anyone know why some of them cost so much? 40$ - Push the button - Light goes on. 150$ - Push the button - Light goes on. WTF ?
  8. Protec HP 190, by Nebo. 40$ at walmart. Mine has 500 rounds on it and no problems.
  9. Thanks for the replies. I lowered the hammer on the bolt and moved it as much as it will go. It always has good contact, so I feel a bit better now. I didn't think about checking that before. The scratch will be considered the smile of a happy gun. O well, may as well grab a box of 100 and go show it some love. Thanks again.
  10. I'm using the factory hammer and spring, and no BHO. I just noticed that my hammer can move about 1/8 of an inch side to side. Thats more then the thickness of the BHO. It seems like the hammer spring dictates where the hammer sits on the axis pin. Is this something normal, or should I put some kind of spacer on one, or both sides of the hammer. The gun is a Saiga 12. Also, there is a scratch on the bolt carrier where it is rubbing on something. It looks like this. There are no corresponding marks on the top cover. I dont see this on the pictures of other guns. Could this be considered
  11. out towards the front of the gun. i dont even use the insert.
  12. Ok. i'll take the light off and take a few pics.
  13. Got that at Walmart too. There was I think 3 in a package for about 7 bucks. I cut it with a hacksaw to get the length, drilled a hole so there was 2 holes, then used one bracket screw, and a screw I got from Lowes, which is next to Walmart.
  14. I got this one from Walmart for $40. 150 rounds thru the gun and it still works.
