The tapco stock has a block attached to it, the ace doesn't and needs a block installed for the ace stock to screw into. Hope this helps. Also you posted this in the Vepr section, which is not a saiga.

I installed the autoplug and it works, my problem is it is very hard to install and take out for cleaning. I need a pair of pliers or a wrench to get it in and out, threads are fine on both gun and plug. And when it is seated its flush, worked at range but when I go to tune it it still is slightly mobile like it depresses the pin itself and moves when tuning it. Will it go in and out easier over time or did I get a bum plug?

Where as a saiga would have a screw for the bottom tab to slide in, my vepr didn't. So I have to grind down the tab to fit into the receiver. Located on the bottom of hand guard and receiver. I love it.

Utg mount, love the hand guard, although fitting it took some dremel work. Shoots great.

Lol I just got google.com with no search results, I did the mod myself last night , put a Lil cut into the safety with my dremel. Worked out great.

yeah my problem is im right outside the city limits on long island. And this is a hot topic on my local forum longislandfirearms.com . I know if I brought my s12 with this configuration to the range anywhere around here I would be getting asked about it and gawked at all day, thats my only concern, I would probably wind up with my picture on the forum from another member reporting that they saw one live and in person. Its very grey, I even emailed Kushnapup to see how many approx units were sold to the NY area just to see but I have yet to receive a reply. I'm about to assemble it and bury it

Is there any case law in NY to support the legality of thumbhole stocks? Is there any case law to support the idea that below the action means directly below it? Is there any law, statute or case law, that would help us extrapolate form how bullpup rifles have been categorized or treated? As someone who has gone to law school and has worked in a prosecutor's office, it seems there is way too much room, in the absence of any strong case law, to argue that the grip is in fact below the action. It is directly below the gas tube where the carrier (part of the action) is moving back and forth.

I was thinking the same as you, I purchased the stock but was hesitent at first to install it on the 12. Have you taken it out to any public ranges yet?

Also a UTG stock butt pad with holes drilled out carefully can make room for the tangs to fit in the pad so you won't have to cut them or bend them.
