  1. Greatest thing since sliced bread. Most fun you can have with your clothes on. Nuf said. Get it!
  2. Okay, I love this. There are new members everyday. Although I have been building and repairing and modifying guns for the better part of 15 years, I myself am a semi new member here. You my friend are in great company. I actually thought I was getting a 12ga AK when I bought mine. NOT NECESSARILY SO MY GOOD FELLOW. Don't get me wrong it has similarities. I know we all want a great perfect out of the box gun and I wanted that to but that ain't always how it works. Now I believe the more drunk the assembler is the better. I don't dare consider anyone except a few very prominent members here to b
  3. I heard that about Zazzle as well but I'm not sure if it has any truth. I'm waiting on a definite verdict. I have no idea where I heard it. Probably some range gossip. We are sometime just as bad as a sewing circle of old biddy hens so I try to not take much stock.
  4. There can be so little or so much to converting these guns depending on what you start with. Almost everyone is a little different. Have fun discovering what you have to work with.
  5. Not a prob as long as your behind the gun. Just kidding but I saw no stress or signs of metal fatigue (other than the bulge) such as cracks. You did right though better safe than sorry.
  6. Don't mean to jump on your thread but they aren't legal in 3 gun are they?
  7. Thanks for your service squid.
  8. I chose a LMT SopMod obviously with a buffer tube conversion it's the same on all my go to guns. Commonality
  9. I agree with shankspony and fourbux. If that won't do it get the V plug or Auto Pug and a CSS puck. No reduced power spring. Or if you can afford it just shoot and shoot until it stops. These guns have to wear into themselves.
  10. Everything you can dream of and possibly encounter is somewhere on this forum. Search and read then repeat until you have an answer. Nice people here have fun. And welcome to the addiction
  11. I know it's way to late but I wanted to say that every product I've purchased from ya'll has been top shelf all the way. Keep up the great work and I'll keep buying.
  12. But is it worth it for recoil reduction at all? Like I said it's really light kicking even with slugs as it is.
  13. Wow we must have been typing at the same time. Cool so my S12 is a kitten as is so does it cut any recoil at all or is just good for muzzle blasting myself. My Auto Plug really softened this gun up alot. I wasn't expecting it to have this much impact. So really if it does anything at all I'd be happy. By the way mullet man nice shotty.
  14. Never mind check Dinzag. Gotcha. I still want to know how well it works.
  15. I didn't vote because I don't have a break. I'm really thinking about the one that looks like the 74 brake. If anybody can point me to a company name that mfg it and if anyone has ever tried it I would really like some feed back about performance and build quality. I doubt it's as effective as it is on a rifle but my Saiga is tame as kitten NOW!
  16. I've shot Benelli, FN and Mossberg semi autos. I didn't own them all and I hate to repeat my self but I switched from Benelli after getting stomped by a Saiga. Of course I didn't know what it was going to take to make it run at the time but I'm fortunate enough to be able to do all my work my self so it wasn't an issue. Now that I'm committed I have to run in the open division but hey thats the price we pay. They are all great shotguns but the Saiga is a creature all it's own. And it's the best conversation piece at the Gun Club. I have alot of nice and rare guns but they get ignored when the
  17. I'm not cutting mine but that's a function over form thing. I am committed to this gun for 3 gun and even choked below 19" would put me at a disadvantage a longer gun swings way better. Plus in basic I learned to clear houses with a 20" barrel M16A2. Though it's not optimal it works not near as well as my M4 did in the box. My Saiga with the collapsible stock is actually shorter than that musket. With low powered ammo and the Auto PLUG recoil is low enough that I really don't know about adding a muzzle device right now. It just functions so damn well I'm kinda pulling a if it ain't broke don't
  18. Thats a great thing IMO now!
  19. It was a Benelli not an 870 I was shooting lol. No excuses the built S12 out classed it. I shot well so did the S12 guy. He let me play with it after the match and I was sold.
  20. I bought a screw on trigger guard for like $29. It's the shape I wanted and it's not expensive. I agree about the stock one but hey it's what the owner digs that matters. Thats what makes these things custom tailored to us. As for advice address any cycling issues in the stock configuration before you start throwing money at light recoil springs, pucks and plugs. Get it to run then start playing with these things. They may run great out the box or maybe not. I got kudos form unclejake on this forum for my vodka special story on a TAC47 thread. Apparently I got the vodka special award LOL! It w
  21. Welcome to the addiction! Playing with Saigas is like crack. I had a similar issue when converting mine so I just bought what I liked seperately. Alot from Carolina Shooters Supply and alot from here. I couldn't find a kit that satisfied it all. There is a difference between price shopping and shopping for the cheapest thing. Remember that in your search for Saiga bliss. Buy quality now and save yourself alot of trouble later and alot of fitting later.
  22. I'd love to shoot Sabot Slugs outta my S12. I took a Deer at 110yrds with a Sabot Slug 3 years ago with a Mossy 835 slugger it dropped like a rock devastating! 19" would even be perfect.
  23. BUY IT! And some blue Loctite. You will be a happy camper uh shooter.
  24. Before I accept that award unclejake it's only fair that I say once I almost threw it out the window of my truck coming home from a unproductive day at the gun club and once I was looking for a tree to beat it to pieces against. My wife who is an avid shooter and competitor also kept me in line and reassured me that if anybody could make it work it was me. No fellas she doesn't have a sister who is anything like her.
  25. Yes thats what I meant. Not at 12 oclock. They were at like 1 oclock.
