    Looks good but I noticed you put a light spring in it. I'd put the original back in and see how it runs. I'd bet you need a little more gas for it to run with the original spring. Alot of people here are just as against that srping as I am. Hey it's your gun but I really think the lighter spring is a bad idea. I'm guessing evl didn't see that parts list he usually would have said something.

    I say get the kit #1 THROW THE SPRING AWAY!!! #2 use the puck it rocks and keep in mind you may have to shave/grind a little off the nipple.#3 use th V-Plug. All this is in the kit. Remember #1 don't change your factory springs. If the gun starts to run perfect with the puck and V-Plug have fun playing for a while then go buy an Auto Plug. If it is still giving you trouble open you gas ports in small increments like one drill bit up each time taking very little metal and do it at the correct angle which means remove the gas block! It's not hard and it's really the only correct way to do it. #4 Have fun, if it stops being fun sell it to somebody on the forum.

    That's an evlblk Weapon not a Tromix. One of the things I do to any gun I build besides make sure it reliably cycles Winchester Universal Walmart Bulk Pack by the truck load is let my wife shoot it. She can shoot a pistol more accurately (slow fire) than I can, she is pretty handy with an AR Iron sights, red dots or scope hell she even shoots AK's with Iron sights pretty well but she just can't seem to get the whole get into the gun thing that's necessary with a semi auto shotgun down for some reason. Now she is 5'1" 105lbs so maybe it's that even low brass beats her up a bit. If it cycles with her I run a mag from the hip just to make sure. If all goes well it's ready to leave the shop and go on whatever adventure the owner takes it on through it's new life. So yeah it's important but a proper shooting good cycling gun should run no matter what.

    I just met a Russian guy on Casino Beach in Pensacola and being an armature Russian speaker at best I took the chance to talk guns with him. He's only 25 but has heard of Tromix and I could not believe this he didn't know hardly anything about Izzy, except they make AK's. He thought all the AK BASED shotguns were something we made here. Didn't make sense because you have to have a smoothbore permit before a rifled permit over there. Maybe his age was the factor. But Tony people know!

    I'm good. Just kinda astonished at where this thread has gone. Really was looking for, sure I had that issue filed down all good. This has gotten pretty technical here. I'm afraid we may scare off some new comers or those with absolutely no machinist style measuring back grounds. I got my answer along time ago and thanks CSS for making a great puck. I recommend them all the time.

    My S12 was spotless when I discovered the issue and after I noticed that I was seeing a little to much extractor I unscrewed the plug and watched it close the gap then screwed back in and watched it open. Obviously a problem, was also a gap on the left and there is still a small gap on the right as it should be. When I said earlier it was locking up solid I was referring to the left, my bad I should have been more clear. Also I said over stressing the op rod and I should have said the carrier. I also wonder if it had something to do with the Auto Plug adjustment screw backing out as fast as it did. With Blue Permatex it would still start to back out after 100 or so shells through it and now it doesn't. I was using Permatex Blue when that happened and switched to actual Loctite Blue since so can't say for sure if it was the modification or the brand of thread lock I was using. Huh food for thought.

    I put at least 700 rounds through it before I noticed it. I just wanted it to go fully forward the way it was designed to and yes it would have eventually over stressed the rod and like I said the unlikely event of a case rupture could have caused a safety issue like sending the extractor flying out it was pretty visible through the gap. It's a very simple fix and no harm no foul. I was mostly wondering if anybody else had noticed it or had the same issue.

    Oh and to anybody who doesn't take Jack up on his offer and does it them self don't let the size of the gap fool you. Considering the size of the gap it was surprising at how little material I had to remove to make it lock up solid. It was more than just scuffing it up but it was less than the measurement of the gap by far. I used a mill but it could be done with a Dremel and a steady hand. I would try to get it as straight as possible because in my opinion if it's angled it may side load the op rod. That may be no big deal but I'm usually over cautious. I think it's from cutting my teeth on building custom AR's and Bolt Guns. Also if you take to much off you'll have that click clack sliding that the stock puck does which once again in my opinion over stresses parts do to it impacting instead of just pushing the op rod.

    Thanks alot Jack for the offer but I already did just that. I wish I would have known about you before I moved from Hammond La born and raised there but I wasn't into these Saiga's three years ago when I moved. I'm a DIY kinda guy anyway but your offer is much appreciated. Nice to know there's people like you still around these days.

    I've been running a CSS Performance puck for awhile. With a stock gas regulator I didn't have this problem but with the longer V-plug and now an Auto Plug the bolt is in battery but the carrier was about 1/16 or so from going fully forward. I took the gun out before noticing it and it ran great. It was a easy fix as all I had to do was machine off a little of the nipple on the puck at a time until it closed fully but I was wondering if anybody else has this issue? It runs just as good with a very slight adjustment to the Auto Plug. I personally just felt that it was unsafe in the unlikely event that a case ruptured in the chamber I'd like as much thick metal between me and the rupture as possible. I was actually able to see a little of the extractor through the gap before the modification.

    If you decide to go with an AR adapter the only logical choice to me (my opinion) is the G21 it's on all my AR's and I even put one on my M4 in Iraq. I spent about two months as a S.A.W. gunner and fell in love with that grip on anything but an AR. It's on my 47 my 74 and my S12. Yes I'm aware the OP already referred to it as a POS but to each his own. It fills the hand in the right places and allows a tighter grip up high and that's why I like it on an AK platform (my opinion). Oh and to the OP it is better and easier to shoot Trap & skeet in sporter stock configuration. Ever seen a dedicated Skeet or Trap gun with a pistol grip? There is a reason. Not that you can't dust clays with a PG I've done it alot but I'm way better with a traditional stock.

    +1 Titusville that's also where Knights Armament is located. I'm in the panhandle and up this way ERGC is good but it's only 100yrds. That is of little concern because as long as your safe they let you play. If your alone on the particular range out of the 4 they have you can go all Hooah on that shit!
