  1. Finally we can get something "material" in return for all those flowers and chocolates we buy every year ........
  2. Here is the letter I sent both my state and federal reps via the NRA link: "I am writing to let you know that with respect to the general and continuing decline in the rights afforded me by the second amendment, and most recently the direction being taken by the current administration, that I will no longer support you if you do not start to introduce multiple, aggressive, and extremely "pro-gun" bills into legislation. I expect to see you provide the type of proposals that will not just defend my rights under the second amendment, but will further enhance them and ultimately lead to the
  3. Well a good thing about us pro-gun people discussing ways to go on the offense is ......... that almost always when we do get together (either at the range or in cyberspace) and talk about the subject of anti-gun laws, we are almost always preaching to the chior. But, by discussing offensive suggestions to pass on to our representatives (via the always easy NRA Grass Root Alert link I posted) we don't need to convince, comprimise or deal with anti-gun forces. We can do it ourselves ...... and history is/has proved that we better.
  4. You know that would be the case. they would teach that guns are evil and no one should ever have any... Not if the lesson was "by law" like something taken directly from the US army fire arm training course up to "dry fire" day. You 'do' have to think a bit, and demand exactly what you want ......... I mean ..... I would expect you guys to be a tad more creative than Dianne and her "so totally lost" version of what an assault weapon is ........... rocket launcher indeed!! Bottom line ..... with repsect to the current and ongoing (certainly since 1968) well meaning but defensive p
  5. My suggestions are actually meant as examples of moving from a defensive posture to an offensive one, with the main point being to force our reps to go on a 'major' offensive campaign .......... immediately. We elect our representatives based on their promised abilities to provide the ideas ....... and the all inclusive verbiage in proposed laws ....... that will provide the ends that we desire. They work for us, and just like your boss expecting you to "provide results" we have a right to to demand the same from our reps. We just need to let them know how serious we are about them going
  6. Yeah ..... ever since that house fell on her sister and she got passed over for a shot at the ruby slippers, she's been a real bitch ......... P.S. Asking our representatives to oppose anti-gun laws, or defend 2A isn't getting it done. We need to demand that they go on the offense and start introducing 'extreme' pro-gun bills into legislation. We need to make it crystal clear that although they are pro-gun, and vigorously try to defend our rights, that alone will not get them re-elected, and we will 'actively' support their parties challenger for election to their seats if they don't get som
  7. I'm hovering over the T&N website with my target aqusition in "Tactical Bolt Handle" scan mode, and will swoop down on one as soon as said target apears. Flyer niner one out ...........
  8. Will the knurling match the charging handle knurling on my (hopefully soon to arrive) side charging level 10 Forend?
  9. This guy's actually an internet regular/sensation, and is in fact featured in the latest trailer for the game "Call of Duty Black Ops II" seen flying his quad rotors right aftyer the gal on horseback ..... Also, from the way he says "Chi-cago",I suspect that he's only a "professional Russian" ........ but hilarious and entertaining nonetheless!
  10. What size (for what gun, or what part number) slip-on Limbsaver are you guys using? I ask because when I looked at them, I saw various slip-on sizes for different guns.
  11. Yeah ......... almost as nice to look at as the new Carl's Junior "Memphis Pulled Pork Cheeseburger" comercial ........... almost!!
  12. This forum 'can' be a bit tougher than most, and I'm a newb here as well, but certainly far from a newb to firearms. Yup, I agree ......... the AR feel and flow is why I bought mine. If somebody made an AR pistol that would work for 3 gun, I'd get one of those too. I've seen the subject brought up that the 1919 needs to be "fixed" to be able to shoot light loads, and that some people wouldn't buy a firearm that needed to be "fixed" right out of the box. IMHO: the 1919 didn't need to be "fixed" at all. It's a combat weapon that may have needed to be "sporterized", but not "fixed".
  13. You might be happeir with a break action Stevens. That's only because you were standing at the wrong end ........
  14. Thank you very much for the information and the offer of help. I will go ahead and order the Firebird extended handle and Tromix trigger. Since I retired I bought a Grizzly gear head mill with a power table, and a Precision Machining 14X40 gear head, gap bed variable speed lathe, that (so far) I've learned enough to take perfectly good metal and turn it into tiny little chips! I've also learned than many times it's easier (if not cheaper) to just buy a part like the handle/trigger rather than buying the materials and other supplies to make them, treat them, and anodize/tool blacken
  15. I didn't think you were. I have searched everywhere and maybe I missed it, but if you can point out were any of the referenced material (or any other puplished material) specifically states that the Tromix trigger is also metal (I know the disconnector is) and what material the Firebird extended bolt handle is made of, I would be very appreciative. Not saying that I didn't miss this information ...... heck, as I get older I'm finding that "missing stuff" is just part of the program. For the life of me I have not been able to find this particular information. Thanks again,
