  1. SALTPETER, Actually they would still be consdiered gov. and leo use because they were manuractured and sold without the tax that is placed on all other civilian weaponry. I belive that you will be able to go and buy the exact same thing without letterhead, but if it is stamped, it has never had the taxes paid that would make it legal for civilian use. Kinda stupid huh???
  2. They've changed thier contact info, but I found it!! I'll cintact them and let you know how it goes. Thanks bro!
  3. You do realize that impersonating a law enforcement officer, in person or on line, is very illegal ATF man!!!! If you're not who you claim to be, then all it will take, is for a real officer or agent to get a warrant to secure the forum info (like your address and computer I.D. number) and come and pay you a little visit. If you are an agent, you've got alot to learn about undercover proceedure and general conduct. I sure would like to hear what your supervisors would say if they found ut that you were going into civilian forums without agency approval, representing the agency itself and makin
  4. I tried to get on their web site but after I signed up, I never got my password in the mail. Do you have a contact number for them? I will contact them directly. Oh, and thanks for the heads up on the customer service.
  5. SaltPeter!! What's up? Nice to speak to a brother behind the shield. I tried to find these things all over the place, and just ended up looking like a monkey f*cking a football. I got the run around from every dealer, and website that I found. Please shoot me an e-mail with the info on the seller that you went through and I will get my letterhead, and buy, not only the mags, but the whole L.E. saiga 12 as well. Thanks
  6. setlab, Relax a bit. No I'm not a kid and no I don't shoot things that damage the environment. I get plenty of structured range time as I am a police officer, and spent several years in the regular army in several different combat units and am currently in the national guard where I am instructor in all crew serve and small arms weapons. I have had plenty of training and can bring to the table facts and performance issues about weapons systems that most people have never even heard of. I'm also a trained sniper. Just because some of these guys like to see a little down range feedback when th
  7. That's a grey area, technically as soon as I put a high capacity mag. in my glock, I am carrying a controlled bost ban weapon. The fact that the mags are stamped for import and sale to L.E.O.s is what makes it okay. If the saiga mag. is a leagaly stamped L.E. and importeed to the dept., it is not an illeagaly manufactured weapon. But once again, who's got that kind of time? I'll just wait. Besides, I also carry a Colt flat top M4 law enforcement carbine in my car. That ought'a do it.
  8. Very true. The day that anyone comes to collect my guns, had better be ready to collect the bullets first!!!!
  9. I posted misfeeds earlier in this forum. I found that if I left my magazine loaded into the magazine well, the top of the first round would flaten out on one side do to the pressure of the shell being pushed against the bottum of the bolt. I corrected the problem by using a heavy cased magnum load. If the plastic shell casing is just a thin small game casing, or a slug, were the last quarted inch of the plastic shell is hollow, the round flattened and mis-fed. Also, when you chamber your first round, pull back the bolt and wait just for a second before you release it. This seems to allow the s
  10. I aree loandr. I could go through my department and make them a letterhead purchase, and find an ffl to import them for me, and have them stamped and all that other stuff, but by the time I get through with all of that, hopefully the awb will be gone. Just too much of a pain in the ass for 3 extra rounds. Besides, I'm sure as this weapon gains popularity, a stateside manufacturer will build a compadible mag for it and then it won't be an importation violation.
  11. I'm not the one selling the mags!!! I'm the one that won the auction, then decided I didn't want them because of the trouble that it could put me in with the ATF!! Check my topic on importation magazines under saiga 12!!!
