  1. Not sure why my PC was showing 0 in stock... Ordered 2. As well as a quad rail and an autoplug. I really have to stop spending money now or Im going to be very poor.
  2. Hey friend, I live in Spanaway, just a bit south from you! Id love to have a chance to shoot that thing once you bullpup it.
  3. Im in the market for some stick mags, 10 or 12. I wish I had seen this thread last week!
  4. You should re-profile your hammer and go back to the stock spring. The hammer you got when you converted is a higher profile, so re-profile it. OR, if you have added other american made parts, you can go back to your original hammer. The other possible issue is your fore-grip may be causing issues. I would never accept a weaker spring as being ok in my shotgun. My humble opinion.
  5. GunFun, cool idea for the magnum shells! Im not sure what part of WA your in, but we aught to go shooting some time. OP: I would recommend going through Primary Arms for your red/green dot needs. These folks are known for fast shipping and amazing customer service. They will answer your questions. I understand it to be a better plan to mount your red dot style sights farther forward, so I will be purchasing an "Ultimak" rail for my AK. They sell these discounted with the purchase of some of their red dots. The PA Microdot looks S12 tastic. I have not found anyone who can
  6. Dont spend any money on parts just yet, IMHO. Step one, clean any oils out of the weapon, you want it dry. (Unless you have something called Lapping Compound, used to wear in valves. I did it dry) You can do all this with a file and sand paper, you dont need a dremel yet. Also, make sure to hand cycle the weapon enough times to note where your friction points are, and to know how it feels so you can tell if it is improved. Clean the paint off of the rails, as well as the part of the bolt carrier that rides the rails. Get this smooth. Paint on paint is going to cause frictio
  7. Mounting options: -Strike Industry rear sight rail Affordable, good reviews as to its stability, but its apparently easy to over tighten the screws. Also, incorporates an Iron Sight. Problem? Its a bit tall. I have an under-folder, so already have a chin weld at best. As a only moderately experienced shooter I am not sure how much of a determent that will be. -Texas Weapon System Dog Leg scope mount Not affordable, $139, plus $39 for their iron sight. I know, "Dust cover rails move around! They are terrible!" Not this one. This one mounts rock solid and does not move around
  8. Well everyone, I have made a decision. I will be purchasing a red dot from Primary Arms. These seem to be the best bang for the buck, and have better reviews than the Bushnell TRS-25. The products seem comparable, but PA (Primary Arms) has a reputation for wonderful customer service, which holds a LOT of value to me. I chose this one: https://www.primaryarms.com/Primary_Arms_MultiReticle_Red_Dot_Sight_PAM3M_p/pam3m.htm I think that the large circle with the 2MOA dot will be very useful. I wish it had the option of the screw in magnifier like the vortex does! I like the idea o
  9. Hey everyone, just picked up a brand new Allied Armiments AK, and I love it! However, I feel that the stock iron sights take away from the percision, and I am looking at other options. The question I have: What is the best and most affordable way to upgrade the precision of the AK sights? Now, I cant say for sure what distance I was shooting at, or how tight my groopings were, but I felt that my stock iron sights just encompassed a LOT of the targets I was shooting at. (Coke cans at 75 feet or so? Give or take 25 feet I guess) Options as I understand them: Upgrade the rear
  10. Took her out for the first time today, and it was AWESOME! Ran flawlessly, and although some people dont like the folders, I found it very comfortable. This is a weapon I will keep for the rest of my life. Need to change out the pistol grip and maybe upgrade the sight though. I was impressed by the accuracy, but I have a long way to go before I am as accurate as I would like to be.
  11. (I put the part that really matters in bold) Well, just like I do with every big purchase, I contemplated, spoke to the people who know me best, consulted experts who know about the item in question, prayed for guidance to help me make the decision that will serve me best in the future.... And then decided that today, January 17th, was the day for me to purchase an AK/Saiga 7.62. I called 60+ local places, bookmarked about 80 gunbroker listings, came REALLY close to purchasing a NoDak Spud online for $1000, but he didnt have the original foregrip or any mags with it, so I figured I should
  12. Wait, then what does converting it back going to? Maybe Im being a tard.....
  13. I dont suppose a thumbhole stock would fix your issue? Shouldnt count as a pistol grip, and your current trigger location would still work.
  14. This is so helpful. Im going to troll gunbroker and I am going to call every FFL near me tomorrow. Pauly, thank you. If a ban goes through, are you still going to do glass bolt for all the weapons already in circulation? Yeah. Worse case scenario, I can do on-call psychiatric work monitoring violent psychotic patients to fill in the gaps. Might have to up my fees, but I kinda need to do that anyhow to slow business. Good, I have known I want to have my S12 done by you since before I purchased it! I have it running stupid smooth these days, but having you *adjust* the bolt would
  15. I edited my first post for clarification. This is so helpful. Im going to troll gunbroker and I am going to call every FFL near me tomorrow. Pauly, thank you. If a ban goes through, are you still going to do glass bolt for all the weapons already in circulation? This is helpful. Thank you! I had almost lost hope! Well.... Gun prices seem to be on the rise faster than house prices. I had absolutely no idea that Vepr 5.56/.223 weapons could still be had! Im looking for 7.62, but that is wonderful info to have, thank you so much! Well,
  16. Well, this will be my 7th firearm, I already have my S12, and a few others. I would really like to find a 7.62x39, you have all been very encouraging.
  17. Thanks Pauly, I think you convinced me that I buy a new weapon tomorrow. Even if its over $1000 v.v For the record yall, I figured I would invest in homes while the market is still down, so I have been working towards that instead of spending money on much of anything else. Also, by the way, I have no family. No other plans. In fact, the biggest issue I have is that spending more on a weapon than what the vehicle I drive costs, just doesnt make sense. The hunt begins.
  18. UPDATE! I am now the proud owner of a brand new, BEAUTIFUL, Polish under-folding AK. I told myself that the rifle needed to wait. New career, trying to buy a second house, other important things. I let the rational side of my head tell me to wait. I decided that my first big bonus check was going to be when I bought the rifle. I receive that first bonus check tomorrow, and I just.... I cant justify spending over $1000 for an unconverted Saiga.... However, if I dont buy it now, I may never get to have one! Even if I purchased online, I would have to pay shipping, state sales
  19. Damn bro. I wish I could help, I would send my parts from the S12 when I converted it, but I am fearful of Wa passing similar bullshit.
  20. A few thoughts from someone who has excellent comprehension and no hands on experience with loading. 1: I wonder if the slugs would feel as loose with the federal hulls? I will have to do a comparison once I have slugs to test fit.... 2: You can remove the wad and put a card under it (Or a different style wad) with only a minimal amount of increased effort. 3: Maybe cutting the crimp aint the best way to go, perhaps you could take a step back and find a tool that allows you to easily open the crimp in the chosen hull? Keep up the awesome work! Every step you take Im learnin
  21. I like the conversion kits from CSS because you can upgrade the pistol grip for a very fair price! I like the ATI "Scorpion" grip on my own weapon. Also, I remember being really worried about the ugly mismatched paint when I did my conversion, but once its put back together, you'll never know! If I can do it, you can too!
  22. http://www.thermoworks.com/learning/infrared_tips_icebath_to_calibrate_infrared.html Another simple test. Google is your friend!
