  1. I converted my saiga 12 and moved onto other projects before final assembly. I came back to it today (many months later) and found I had 2 recoil springs. One is stock and one is a performance spring from CSS. I cant remember which is which. There is a heavy one that is about an inch shorter. And the other is longer with thinner coils. Can anyone help?? Thanks
  2. Hey guys, I don't post a lot because there is so much good information I can typically search and find it. I couldn't quite get there. I have done all the tear down on my Saiga 12 and am getting ready to come up with the assembly plan. I have the Tromix conversion trigger and I was wondering if there is any advantage to polishing it before install. It seems to be a nice piece as is but I just wanted some backup.
  3. Thanks for the advise. This is what I had in mind when I was thinking "mods." I really just wanted to see if there were any inexpensive ie labor only type things to make the gun better. I like it as is and with some break in I think It will be a fine shooter. Thanks
  4. Team, I have been reading and studying on my new gun and I was wonderign i there is any sort of reccomended service items and things to do to it right away. Maybe even some help on which upgrades yield the best in results. I ask because I got a reccomendation when I got my glock to tear it down to triggers and polish the contact points. This made a huge difference. Just lookign for Similar Saiga things. Thanks
  5. Probably an easy question but I was installing my stock gas adjuster and I was spinning it all the way in and as it was bottoming on the threads it hit detent "1." Is this the true 1 setting or do I have to bring it out one more turn? Thanks
  6. Thanks for the feed back team. I will get on that this weekend. I found a decent deal on some 1 1/8 OZ shells at a sporting goods store so that will be some of my burn up ammo and I will also get some hotter stuff to help too. I will drive the wife crazy by doing the bolt cycling trick the rest of the week.. should be fun.
  7. Hi everyone. I am new to the boards but glad to be here. I took my Saiga 12 out for the first time today and got about 6 rounds through it and every one of them had an eject issue. I was using Winchester Super X game loads 2 3/4" 1 oz. I was on the number 2 setting for the gas adjustment. I did some reading after getting home and but I am new and would like a sanity check. The 1 oz is probably a little light and could be part of my problem. From what I have been reading this gun shouldn't be too selective on what ammo to use. I did strip it anc check the ports and I do have 3
