  1. Found one thanks for the input folks..
  2. I'm looking for a good SKS in an unissued / like new condition. I really like the Yugos but the ones I've run across latetly have that charcoal lined looking barrel inside. I'd like to get my hands on a good clean shooter. Prefer FTF dealing but am not opposed to dealing through the mail with someone here if they have good rep with the (Saiga-12) community.
  3. A couple of buckets of bleach water poured on to the area you dispacthed the varmit will go a long way to disinfecting that area for your house animals since they tend to investigate those areas by sniffing around.
  4. Man that is some scary stuff. You can't trust a liberal government.
  5. My beer of choice is Franziskaner's Hefe-Weisse. Good, mellow, high octane German beer.
  6. I don't know about an upgrade for a spring loaded firing pin. The AK bolt and firing pin have been going strong for a long time with no apparent problem. I did read a post where some guy was having a problem with a firing pin sticking because it was getting clogged with that red pimer sealant that Wolf ammo uses. I myself have shot alot of that ammo in the past with no ill affect. I think if you clean and maintain your weapon on a consistent basis you will find it will have little or no probem. AKs and the SKS are a wonder of simplicity compared to ARs which also uses a floating firing pi
  7. No firing pin spring in a standard AK bolt like the 7.62 uses. You can see a diagram here. http://www.ak-47.net/ak47/comp/bolt.html
  8. I like your style Crosshair. Here's mine with the OD furniture. I'm waiting for a 74 style brake from Dinzag to finnish it out. TAPCO Saiga Galil Style Handguard TAPCO T6 Collapsible Stock TAPCO SAW Style Pistol Grip Dinzag Bullet Guide Dinzag AK74 Style Muzzle Brake ... coming soon 3/16" black nylon plugs for old FCG holes
  9. According to my certificate my extreme spread is 133mm or roughly 5 1/4". But to be honest I tend to get better groupings than that off of sand bags. IMO the accuracy of my rifle is par or better for others I've shot in this caliber and type.
  10. Cobra, Where did you pick up the sling you have on the rifle in the photo?
  11. Good looking rifle. The Dragunov stock looks cool just be careful that you keep your rifle (922r compliant). I just got a 7.62 and was going to put the Izhmash factory pistol grip s folding stock on it only to find out I would have been breaking the law. The problem was that the pistol grip feature would change the sporting rifle designation of my Saiga. You may know about this 922r stuff already but maybe it will help the next guy. Give this thread a try for further enlightenment................. http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showto...mp;hl=thumbhole
  12. Here's some info from that numb nut Brady's site. He and his wife seem to be proud of themselves for screwing with law abiding gun owners rights every chance they get. California - State law restricts the sale of all semiautomatic assault weapons that have specific military features such as pistol grips and folding stocks as well as a list of assault weapons and their copies such as the AK47 and Uzi. People who owned such assault weapons prior to the law are required to register the weapons and may not sell or give them to anyone else in the state. State law also restricts the sale of rapi
