  1. Quick question: I got the plunger pin and spring for a FSB, but to hold all that in, which pin do I need? I checked KVAR, but nothing really fit the description.

This is what it sounds like you need.

  2. LGS has a stock Saiga .308 for $1700. I think I'll pass.

I would. Mine has a Vepr .308 strait cut for 899.

I would find a different LGS.

      Definitely..

It's the same place that had a .308 Saiga for $8000 during the 'scare'..I think Tiger Moses posted a picture of it a few months ago.

  3. Nice gun... Whatever you do, don't do this.
  4. ..."Sinclair Lewis aptly predicted in It Can't Happen Here that if fascism came to America, it would come wrapped in the flag and whistling 'The Star Spangled Banner.'" In other news articles, I read they have been doing it for a year and a half, and not just when the American flag was up... This picture was taken in Jan 2013, with a "Peace" flag. Either way they are immature.
  5. Will a AK74 bolt carrier work with a Saiga .223?

  6. While it's funny them passing that law...it's also a little immature. Though the article does say " Supporters acknowledge the licenses would be only a symbolic stance against government surveillance,.." still, a lot of people think it's for real, and that the drones fly in tree-top high at 35 mph. While in Big Bend State Park a few years back, I took this picture of what I believe is an RQ-4. (Zoomed all the way in on 70-300 mm lens) Again...it's pretty hard to shoot down a drone 25000+ ft up...
  7. I will say this: about the "Concern" part...I believe it's 'lost in translation.' When people are nosy, we say "It's none of your concern", or, "It's none of your business." In Russia, 'concern' is a business related term. The American equivalent may be 'corporation'. http://en.bab.la/dictionary/english-russian/concern
  8. Would it be a good idea for me to go ahead and get a x39 from Buds? I've been wanting to for a while after prices got a little lower...but now, idk.
  9. My uncle is getting rid of (nearly) all of his guns. He offered to sell his Mark V .300 Weatherby Magnum to me for $500. It only had 6 rounds through it. Hard to pass up...

Sad for him, happy for you.

  10. Got a Marlin 336 .35 from my great uncle today. It was originally my grandfathers' back in the 60's. Got it for $200.

  11. So much for the 'free market'. I wonder if it is possible to take a magazine or another firearm accessory, say, on an airline overseas, and then sell it over there. That way you are not actually shipping a firearm part...
  12. Good looking handguard and stock.
  13. Heading to Galveston (or Boliver) tommorow. Hoping to catch a few crabs..or something.

      SAM,

I've never been there, but I think its on the list of places we may visit.

      Yep thats him.

Depending on which bars you go to in Galveston, you can catch crabs "or something" real quick! ;)

  14. Got a coke bottle set up last night with Tannerite inside, told a friend to see if he could hit it with his .308 AR. (Hoping to surprise him) He shoots and the can goes flying, but no boom. Same thing with my .223. And then it got to dark to shoot. And wouldn't you know today I go out and shoot some with the Mosin and it ignites the first time.
