MedicineStorm replied to tim2shu's topic in Feedback - THE GOOD, BAD, & UGLY
I am undecided on how this will effect my future dealings with TIMTIMTIM, but I am pretty confident I don't want to sell to- or buy from- DOGG now. Thank you all. This thread has been helpful. -

Followup: You can use a common or contract carrier to ship handguns. ATF says: http://www.atf.gov/firearms/faq/unlicensed-persons.html#shipping-firearms-carrier "A nonlicensee may ship a firearm by a common or contract carrier to a resident of his or her own State or to a licensee in any State. A common or contract carrier must be used to ship a handgun. In addition, Federal law requires that the carrier be notified that the shipment contains a firearm and prohibits common or contract carriers from requiring or causing any label to be placed on any package indicating that it contains a firea -

I don't believe there are any federal laws prohibiting the shipping of a rifle or shotgun to a residence, so long as it is shipped in-state. Handguns, however, cannot be mailed. http://www.atf.gov/firearms/faq/unlicensed-persons.html#private-record-keeping ATF says "When a transaction takes place between private (unlicensed) persons who reside in the same State, the Gun Control Act (GCA) does not require any record keeping. Arizona: If someone is robbing you, they don't get to sue if you shoot them... even if they are running away while being shot. The amendment was adopted 2012. -
Well we went and done it....

Wow! Thanks for that hook-up. I feel stupid for getting ammo elsewhere now. -
Officer comes to my house, asks who I sold it to, but... by golly, I just can't remember. Until these guns are NFA types, BATFE does not require you to record, report, register, or do a background check on private in-state sales. Good thing, because I just don't have the memory for that sort of thing.

Carriers; Polished Vs Pauly's IceRack. Up close comparison.
MedicineStorm replied to Paulyski's topic in Saiga-12
Seriously; Is there some other thread I haven't read that explains more of this feud? Where was it indicated Pauly used a former customer of Cobra's? Why would I think less of Cobra's work because of Pauly's post? I can honestly say I knew Pauly did work like this because of all the "props to Pauly" posts and not because of the advertising. I only recently saw Cobra's ad for "Saiga Bolt and Carrier Mods and Polishing" as well as Pauly's ad for "Custom Fabrication" but I paid more attention to Pauly's add becasue it has a price on it and pictures of the product, not because it's over-ad -

Probably a noob question but: Any trouble putting slugs, buckshot, or exotic ammo through the GK-01? -
It is true that they all suck, but this is like saying "I drive a segway. I know, they suck, but all cars suck." AOL sucks so much that it can't even be considered a car- err... browser/ISP. As a computer professional, I strongly recommend exploring alternatives. AOL behaves like a virus in almost every way except that it can't be removed by anti-virus software because it is a "voluntarily installed commercial product"
