haha yea I was in the garage and my dad had a spare hinge lying around and I grabbed my cleaning rod and dropped it through the hole and right then and there I knew it was going to work
-
I took a padlock hasp and took the part where the padlock goes into and cut it up and trimmed it to make a guide under the gas block for the cleaning rod to pass through.

I bought a fire control group converted x39 last year. To finish the conversion I bought a front handguard retainer without a front sling loop and also got a fixed triangle stock also lacking a sling mount. Now I was left with a dilemma, I had no idea how I would mount a sling so I came up with this. So far it has held up quite well and am pleased with it. Any of you guys come up with any unique ways to mount your slings?

Will this work as an alternative to threading barrel?
saigoon replied to saigoon's topic in Saiga 7.62 X 39
it says that the adapters hole is .500 and slips over the barrel, is that the same diameter as saiga rifles? -
I know it says its for a WASR but I cut back the barrel shroud and found it was not threaded, would this item be a good alternative to threading? http://ak-builder.com/index.php?dispatch=products.view&product_id=30090
