Im not sure what all this "weight and bulk" nonsense is, barrel shrouds add little of either. They can scratch your barrel yes. Use some blue locktite to hold em on better.

Anything you else you could possibly add on there?

I know everyone says this on here when someone posts a concern they have, yeah this is probably the #1 discussed issue on this forum and there are a TON of posts and certainly stickies at the top. You gotta prepare yourself that you're gonna have to do some work on your own to get your S12 where you want it. Its gratifying to do though. Learn about polishing, gas ports and most definitely about converting that sucker. Good luck.

I use both. I use a Bushnell Red Dot when shooting slugs but honestly I dont usually take it off for shorter distances when shooting 00 buck or birdshot.

Im confident that not many gangbangers would have a preference for a S12 over a rifle that holds for more ammo, is more accurate and at a longer distance.

I wouldnt wait five days for a barrel shroud, theirs or anyone elses. Thats crazy. Its a piece of metal that slides over your barrel. I bought mine at CSS. Great customer service IMO.

I use regular ole spray paint on mine. Engine paint for the barrel. No need for the rest of that stuff IMHO...
