  1. Why I love CSS- Order recieved- 10:02 11/10/14 Order shipped- 10:06 11/10/14 Order delivered at my door, 11:25 11/12/14- Including Veteran's Day a USPS holiday
  2. Looks like a regular ak hammer, doesn't really have the notch for 308. You can see where it was hitting the crossmember.
  3. Matte black or Gloss black? And it's ok to put that receiver in the oven?? Your preference. Yes, goes in the oven for about 25 mins or so at 325 degrees--don't recall the exact directions. Have done several conversions with it and it's great stuff! Just make sure the wife won't be home for several hours!!!! I am expressly forbidden from using any kitchen appliance for guns, no car parts in the dishwasher, etc.
  4. I had a N-cell EOtech on my .223. I used the Scout Scope.com mount. Loved the EOtech, loved the mount, but they just didn't work together for me(window was way too high). If I had a Ultimac rail it would have worked out better IMHO.
  5. It's great fun to light off some 308 out of a 16" barrel. Beach ball sized fireball, ear splitting noise, whats not to like. The best is when the whole line at the range simply stops looks and stares. The 22" is way more practical for anything but kind of a long stick.
  6. Every other type of full power buck, slugs, Rem heavy dove, Federal reduced recoil buck, basically everything but the cheapest Wally World birdshot will run but put some Fiocchi in the mag and FTE EVERY round, even out of the factory 5 round mag. Which I don't understand because it seems to have enough thump, I hunt with it out of an 870. I have relegated it to pump gun only ammo. Must have been a bad day at the Fiocchi plant or something. My gun is a Obama special from Cadiz, extra gas port drilled, KA gas piston etc. How long is the barrel on your Cadiz S12 and did you make any ch

  8. full power Fiocchi buck won't cycle in my S12
  9. Have you tried music wire? You can get it at a hobby store that sells model airplane stuff. It's really stiff for its diameter.
  10. My personal preference is for the Vepr .308 RSA trigger group. Best AK trigger going. No safety problems in my installs. You might have to relieve one side of the hammer to get the BHO to work however. I just wish Randal Power would make a non-adjustable one, it would be in all my Saigas!
  11. +1 My last car, a '92 Civic, got similar gas mileage. My current, '98 Civic, gets about 35ish. I miss my 86 CRX HF. 45mpg @70+ mph. The rust holding it together finally gave out.
  12. Not sure about lengths, but if you go with an Ace, DPH etc, you will need to cut the tang and get the receiver block to mount it. WTF...even for a non folding fixed stock! i thought they made a block that didnt require any receiver or tang modification at all. Im not cutting up a perfectly good tang.. They do make a receiver block that requires no tangendectomy. It adds some length of pull, so take that into consideration when ordering your stock. Get it from CSS rather than ACE. You'll have it in hand much quicker.
  13. I want a tigr bad, but not $1950 bad, which is the lowest price I have found one for.
  14. Must have.... for Dixie Slugs.. 730gn hardcast lead @ 1200.
  15. No bullet guide required. Although much experimentation has been conducted, there really aren't any viable mags from other guns that have been made to work properly IMHO. Good to see another Indian Head refugee on this site as well!
  16. I love my laser bore sighter. It has saved my countless rounds of ammo and range time. Plus, it's good for a quick zero check before you go hunting. Just don't take it to the range.... PS- not my rifle
  17. Plus steel shot is annealed to the point that it's just a little harder than lead.
  18. go ahead and shoot-em. Most won't feed properly due to length from a tube fed gun, so you have to single load them. Be prepared to put out serious fires if you decide to "test" them other than over water. Don't ask me how I know that......
  19. Dumb asses. these guys are the epitome of ASS EYED FUCKTARDS!
  20. Bushnell scopes are pretty tough, I have 2 trophy scopes, a 1.75x4 on my .223 and a 3x9 on my .308. No problems for a couple thousand rounds. Pay special attention to your scope mounts however, as the screws that hold the rail on them can walk out under recoil. Either stake them or loctite them.
  21. I always got the idea that KA didn't have the business capacity to keep up with their manufacturing capacity. Good enough guys when you finally got ahold of them. From their website: ATTENTION: WE ARE EXTREMELY BUSY RIGHT NOW AND ARE BEING PLAGUED WITH MANY IMPATIENT CUSTOMERS WHO ARE WANTING DAILY UPDATES ON THEIR ORDER OR SHOP JOB AND ARE CALLING OR EMAILING REPEATEDLY. THIS ONLY MAKES US EVEN MORE SHORTHANDED AS WE HAVE TO SPEND A LOT OF TIME ANSWERING NUMEROUS PHONE CALLS AND EMAILS. WE ARE WORKING 14-16 HR DAYS TRYING TO GET THINGS DONE, CALLING/NAGGING/EMAILING ISN'T GOING TO EX
