  1. I just tried a couple of the Promag 25 rounders and they fed and functioned flawlessly in my Saiga. They seem like good mags to me, definitely priced right. Just a heads up.
  2. Its home made, I made it from a section of pic rail and welded it to the gun.
  3. Thanks! The dot is pretty quick on target, but I still prefer a traditional vent rib and bead for clays, I guess I am just more used to it. The dot is great for targets on the ground though, especially with slugs. I uploaded another vid of me busting some hand tossed clays: video
  4. Was it not working in the vid? Some pics of the gun would be great ). It isnt really possible to make the drum work with the BHO. I just cut a clearance slot in the feed tower to clear the BHO lever and let it be. It works great with stick mags though.
  5. Yea, its a wiiiiide angle lens for sure. I can assure you the barrel is straight The ammo was federal bulk 7 1/2 bird shot from wally world. I built the gun, it has a magpul stock, a SAW type grip, an auto BHO, a vented polychoke and I welded a short section of pic rail to the gas tube for an optic mount. It runs 100%. When I bought the gun I smoothed out and beveled the feed ramp and chamber entrance areas which has pretty much eliminated any possible feeding issues. I also made a custom gas piston from hardened 4340 steel. I slightly reduced the diametrical clearances fro
  6. I have had a promag 12 rd drum for a couple weeks now. Have put probably 300 rounds through it with no problems. I really like the size of the thing, it is handier than the 10rd stick mags IMO. Here is a quick vid showing function: video

    My new job

Looks good man! I did pretty much the same thing only I brazed mine on since I dont have a welding setup.
  8. Nice What year was yours made? I am looking for a dimpled one also.
  9. Mine has done this before, not enough tension on the hammer spring legs. need to bend em down or get new ones.
  10. Yes, search in the forums at gunsnet or akfiles in the WASR section. Some of those guys like to add dimples to the formerly single stack guns. Its basically a male and female side smashed in a press. I have seen photos of a 223 Saiga that someone added dimples to. IIFC he said it was a major pain and would never do it again. I would imagine it was a pain... the receiver is hardened from the factory, forming dimples in it after that would be a stone cold pants wetting bitch in my opinion.
  11. What is the going rate for an unconverted .223? Are there any out there with mag dimples? thanks
  12. My mag needed to be opened up and the upper 1/3 of it needed to be sanded down, it was just too narrow and the shells were binding and feeding sluggishly. Hand sanding took way too long so I busted out my 1" belt sander and blasted enough plastic off to get things working in about 10 minutes. My mag functions flawlessly now.
  13. I am interested, I sent you a message. Where could I get the folding mechanism?
