  1. The worst mass killing of students happened in Bath Michigan. The guy was running for a local office in an election and lost. He then Killed his wife and blew up the school. No assault weapon used, but it still happened.
  2. You are correct. you do still have to go through an FFL. Previously Michiganders were only allowed to purchase from states that borders Michigan. Now they will be able to purchase from anywhere in the US. There were people with FFL's that would obtain the firearm that I wanted from another state then I was able to purchase it from them here. Now I can purchase it and have it sent to an FFL here for a transfer fee eliminating having an FFL do what ever they had to do before. Less work for the FFL holder, easier, cheaper, and streamlined for me.
  3. It was a huge day for Pro gun legislation. The Michigan legislature voted to allow additional training to become exempt to pistol free zones. They also voted to allow us to purchase long guns from anywhere in the USA without having them sent to a FFL. Yesterday they made it easier to get a purchase permit, No more test, you can get them from any police department. If you purchase from a FFL then you dont need one at all. They also made transportation of a handgun easier for those without a CPL license. Way to go MICHIGAN. Now it is up too the Governor.
  4. Michigan did pass the law making it a pistol at 26" You have until December 31st to register it as a pistol. if you do this you will be able to carry it concealed or in your car with a concealed carry permit. if you sell it the new owner will not be able to register it as a pistol. You can deregister it at a later time if you wanted. If it is less than 26" it is a SBR or SBS and you will need the ATF Tax Stamp.
  5. Today Michigan's House of Representatives and Senate vote on some major changes to our Gun Laws. If passed they will be very positive for Gun Owners. The House is voting to allow an advanced CPL license that will allow us to carry in pistol free zones. Our Pistol free zones are schools and school property K-12, churches, day care facilities, Bars or Taverns, College classrooms and dormitories, Any entertainment facility that the entire building has a capacity of 2500 or more ( Movie theaters, concert halls, ect.) Court houses, Hospitals. The Senate is voting to end our handgun registration
  6. At SHOT show last year I asked the Hi Point rep why should I buy a Hi Point. He told me" they were the best firearm you could buy if you only had $200 in your pocket"
  7. No-Knocks are very dangerous for law enforcement. It is not by our choice that we enter this way. I have gone in after fugitives with no knock warrants. we bring lots of firepower, and manpower. We expect resistance. The use of a no knock is to surprise and quickly overcome the fugitive. Typically in my area we only use no-knock warrants if your a very dangerous person and there is no other safe way to bring you to justice. The average officer does not want to put themselves in this situation. however there are a handful that I would consider psycho. these guys live for these moments.
  8. So I watched last weeks Doomsday Preppers again. I wanted to see if it was possible to find these people. At the beginning of the show they showed a satellite view of his 700 acres. Then they had the local sheriff there. While watching the show the other guy showed up and they filmed him pulling off the main road. It only took about 10 minutes to find "The Alamo" here is a link to the Google Map. I compared it to the satellite view from the show. it is an exact match. I am not sure if his Molotov cocktails, IED's and his bullet proof walls would stop everyone, but he does have 46,000
  9. Back to the original topic. A friend just called me and said he watched the "Prepping" show lastnight. He recently came into some money and thought he should do that. He asked if I would like to be part of his Prepping network. Aparently he has a couple friends, they are all going to pool their money and store enough food and water for all of them in a storage unit down the street. He asked if I would be interested in putting in $1000 then we would have everything we need. LOL!!! Here are a few thoughts that came to mind: THOUGHT 1-Say no, When doomsday comes follow him and us
  10. I bought mine in April of 2012. It has 3 ports. I do not know what year it was built. I too looked at one my buddy's gun that he just bought last week and it also has 3 ports in a triangular configuration. I had no problem firing the cheap federal rounds until I changed the stock. Now if I use the cheap stuff the last round stove pipes. I am curious to see if my gun should have 4 ports or if it is supposed to have 3. How do I tell what year it was built?
  11. Well said Cobra. I am not a man of many words. I agree with you 100%. I too have met many militay trained personell whom do not know how to use a firearm properly. I quite often see them at the ranges not watching where the muzzle is pointed, fingers on the triggers, handling their firearms while others are down range ect.. A blanket statement making it sound like the Military is the only way to go is a little arrogant. I wish I was able to serve in the Military. Due to a medical issue I had to find other ways to serve, Law enforcement, firefighting, EMT. Now back to the main topic.
  12. Our 2nd Amendment rights are a constant battle. Stay vigilant and focused. Do your part to represent gun owners in a positive way.

Amen, all they need is one slip up. They want to punish the many already because of the few.
