I wouldn't describe it as lucky as I never plan on using it again, and I'm never planning on taking the titan off other than maybe an annual cleaning. Does yours have the same gap as mine pictued above or does your rail sit lower? Im curious as to how my rail is attached with the front bead intact. Why & how? Local gunsmith said he's never seen a chaos extended quad or titan rail that didn't require the bead be removed.

Again, I wasn't disputing rail specs. I haven't found a clear picture showing the typical clearance of the rail - gas block anywhere. I was told my front bead sight would need to be removed but it's in there. So I was wondering if my fit is decent or is it riding high? Thank you, Mr. Hadley for producing top-notch quality products.

Csspecs steel S-12 mag production prototype pictures

I've been patientley waiting five long years for these to hit the market. I'll take five as soon as they hit CSS. -
I would assume so as well, loose tolerances & what-not.. much looser than Chaos' products I'm sure. but I haven't found a clear picture showing the typical clearance of the rail - gas block anywhere. Front bead sight intact. Normal? I am getting FTEs with light loads but I've got it narrowed down to the new hammer should be re-profiled. My gunsmith has put on a few Chaos rails & said he's never seen one that needed as much milling to align properly as mine (from CSS). Not complaining at all. Great, solid product.

Post-conversion FTE light loads on #1 setting
Penguin_Rapist_Lv.48 replied to Penguin_Rapist_Lv.48's topic in Saiga-12
I'll go back to the range this weekend & switch between the factory handguard & the Chaos titan rail to see if it makes any difference + around 200 shells to try to smooth out the new parts. I'm sure you guys are right about the new hammer. I will update if this thread is still open. -
Post-conversion FTE light loads on #1 setting
Penguin_Rapist_Lv.48 replied to Penguin_Rapist_Lv.48's topic in Saiga-12
I had a reputable smith do the conversion, well ... the owner is reputable but his apprentice did all the work, including putting the BHO spring in backwards. I don't believe they did re-profile the bolt carrier / hammer, just drill, assemble & test-fire with 2 3/4" slugs with no issues. On gas setting 1 It still fires flawlessly with high power 2 3/4" - 3" shells but the federal 1 1/4 oz 8 shot that used to make me think my saiga was over-gassed don't seem to push the bolt back at all half the time. I'm wondering how this Winchester ranger low recoil slugs & buck will perform now I -
After initial break in & before basic conversion my saiga 12 would cycle all light loads on gas setting one. After conversion I couldn't get a single shell to eject until I switched to setting 2. I understand this is the way it's supposed to function, but any thoughts on why / what caused the change? No changes to gas system, only a basic conversion + installation of Chaos Titan Rail.

Hey change your avatar...GregM1 has been using that one for years.http://forum.saiga-1...r/16016-gregm1/ I ripped this from a 1911 forum or liveleak, definately not from him; but I'll take your word and start looking for a new avatar Just traded my Mini 14 for a Saiga in 223. Both rifles were about 3 months old with only about 200 rounds fired through each. I got a few extras with the Saiga to "even out" the deal, soft carrying case and 2 scope mounting rails. Couldn't feel better right now. Nice trade. I'll admit they're great carbines and "to each his own", but I've never

If / When SHTF all that spare ammo could possibly be helpful in trading to friendlies - In the mean time yea pretty much, but I prefer the term eccentric. Sincerly yours, Penguin_Rapist.
