  1. Hey guys im wondering if i bought this {Apex gun parts, AK trigger guard}, would i be able to instead of rivet it on could i just use allen head screws and nuts as if i would on a converted saiga trigger gaurd? how hard is it to rivet them on?
  2. Hey guys so im messin around with the thought of getting a slide fire stock, the bumpski actually because its nice looking and aluminum and much faster firing rate than the slide fire solution stock. So what im wondering is will this stock wear the rifle out faster even if i dont let her get too hot. i know the saiga ak can handle a LOT of heat but i also know from experience that throat erosion happens much quicker and is much more abundant when firing quickly and not letting it cool down. made that mistake with my first one but even after 5000 more rounds it is still going strong and my dad
  3. you probobly just dont wanna thread the barrel. try an ak 74 brake and then get back to me. it takes virtually all of the muzzle climb down if you got a little bit a muscle behind ya. very usefull for fallow up shots.
  4. dsmtsi23: Is that the CSS AR style forearm? What's the length of it? Man, I need to buy a lotto ticket so I can buy more rifles and try different set ups Ya its the CCS forearm. Hey how do you like that birdcage brake? Does it help with climb and recoil? I have one but havent made up my mind on which one im gonna use. thinkin bout getting the spikes tactical dynabrake.
  5. Yes definatly remove the screw, hold in hand with pliers and flatten out the head. Remember guys when doing a mod like this you should never let it get as far as a failure to feed; always cycle the carrier and bolt by hand to check function before you start pullin triggers.
  6. Ok i didnt know tula was bimetal. I was wrong about my previous post these aks were definatly built for the russian ammo because i have literally fired over 30,000 rounds between 5 aks and the only issue i have is with the one i bumpfired to hell..it has quite a bit of throat errosion but my dad has that one now (fathers day present) and he has put an additional 5000 though it. Still just as accurate as it was the day i brought it home brand new. I must say that i get a lot of hang fires with tula ammo. (7.62x39)
  7. And how is it useless? In every case (.223, 5.56, 7.62) it's a harder BI-metal projectile going down a chrome lined barrel at over 2,000 f.p.s. Unless the laws of physics are somehow different on your little planet. Well you can shoot bullets that are 3x more expensive if it makes you feel better over on your mini planet but the rest of us will continue to "ruin" our barrels with bi-metal bullets over here on Earth like we have been for years. Lololol. BTW anyone here burn up their Saiga barrel prematurely shooting bi-metal bullets exclusively? Im pretty sure they are right..wo
  8. thanks captain hero. the reason i like to use the stock hammer is 1 because it is russian and 2 because the hammer peens instead of the bolt's rear end.
  9. Ya good fuck the meth heads. Where they like strait up tweakers or what? Here in Eureka meth is so fuckin bad its sickening. I cant go to the river bar or any other range for that matter without running into a doper of some sort. Any ways i agree tattle the fuck out of the tweaks..they all deserve to be executed anyway, such a waste of life and drain on society.
  10. Youre on meds? Ya ak's and crazy people...do you have a movie theater were you live? I hope not.
  11. My feelings weren't hurt. I work with over 600 Union Airline Teamsters mechanics, and his post were nothing compared to the stuff we get on the job. Just thought it was inappropriate for this forum. I think you need to just stop revolving your life around drama. Youre one of those guys who thinks his shit dont stink, has never been wrong, probably beats his wife, and might even be hung like a field mouse.
  12. So how do you like that buttstock tube? That was the one I was gonna go with but wasnt sure how or if it mounted up on the bottom. And how bout that pistol grip? I was after that one at one point and ended up going with hogue.
  13. Thanks for that. I am not a bullshitter I was just trying to inform of the saigas in my town. Ill keep it to my self for sure from now on though.
  14. Ya remove the heat shield and what I like to do is take my dremel and a thin cutting wheel and cut some vent slots in it. I put 3 slots per spine then take a 1/8th drill bit and hit the center of each slot to open it up a bit. This does nothing but make it run a bit cleaner and a cool fire ball at night out of the gas tube but if you do decide to do this remember to not slot into the spines that contact the gas piston.
  15. Haha sorry guys. I guess i got out of control I apologize. And theres nothing wrong with being gay Ive been stressed out latley and have a short fuse.
  16. ya i was just trying to be nice and alls i get is called a liar and riticuled. its ok. i guess i would have a hard time believing it too but i sure as hell wouldnt be talking shit.
  17. Jesus effin christ thats what chris told me. he said 20 minutes. ya they for the most part were probobly on waiting lists. im just not gonna say shit in here anymore you guys are on your own. i tell you all about a local shop that is getting saigas and this the way im treated. what shops do you guys have that are getting saigas in and would you share with the entire forum the exact location and estimated time and date of delivery....well i did and this is the shit i get. Hey thanks a lot i really appriciate that.

  21. jetmech there is a life time warrenty on all saiga rifles and shotguns (oh no im a liar again) so if convert without shooting it and breaking it in and something breaks like a bolt (i guess thats the only thing that would have to take a little bit of work to replace like headspacing) im screwed. i have converted before without shooting the stock rifle and i still have that one after thousands of rounds so well c i guess. would like a little more input.
  22. no shit convert to the smart asses i mean should i fire the stock saiga before converting just in case anything breaks so there is still a warranty or just go for the conversion without even shooting first...
  23. Hey guys im wondering if i should convert my new saiga's before shooting them. the reason why i ask is because if in the very unlikely even that somthing breaks i still have a warrenty if i dont convert. some say go ahead and convert right off the bat and some say get a couple hundred through it first. ive yet to see one malfunction or break...what do you think?
