Big rifle idea

Not quite 30mm, but 25mm isn't too shabby - Barrett XM109. http://www.vincelewis.net/25mm.html -
They can legally do it if you agree to it - which is what is in all that tiny writing, buried deep in a bunch of legalese. Just like Facebook, Reddit, Pintrist, etc. do. If you don't want their services, you can opt out of all those. The TV data collection is easy to opt out of, you just have to know to do it. Or just don't buy a smart TV.

This just shouldn't happen

Not the first, or worst, time something like this happened. When the news reported this, I figured that, though it was a tragedy, it could have been easily avoidable and the suspect probably wouldn't be convicted. http://www.kbtx.com/home/headlines/Man-Charged-With-Killing-Burleson-County-Deputy-No-Billed-by-Grand-Jury-243993261.html -
I never bought the slide fire/bumpski stock, but this video is the entire reason I bought my S-12. The smile on his face after dumping that drum just screams "buy this gun!" So I did, and every time I do a mag or drum dump, I get that same smile. . http://youtu.be/j_W1pLT7xSA

I'm almost embarrassed to post here, as I am a casual mechanic, and don't even know if this is applicable, but it might be... I had mushy brakes a while back, changed out all the obvious things, was dreading changing out the master cylinder, then found the problem was the vacuum hose had gotten mushy from heat, and everytime I mashed the brakes, the hose would collapse. $0.90 later, 10 minutes to change the hose, and my brakes were great. Please be gentle on any mocking...I don't even know if the vacuum system comes into play in your situation, but if so, might be something to look at

Vepr 762x54r? whats the deal?
nukeme70 replied to chevyman097's topic in General Discussion - Any topic is welcome here!!!
Atlantic has a couple different models a shade under $900. I got mine about a year ago for just under $800 - it was one of the V1 square-backs with firewood stocks, so that price isn't out of line for ones with nice wood (hehe!). -
Saddam's Gold Plated AK-47
nukeme70 replied to SHOTGUN MESIAH's topic in General Discussion - Any topic is welcome here!!!
Not sure if this kit would do an entire gun, but you could do accents or buy additional solution. http://www.caswellplating.com/electroplating-anodizing/gold-plating-kits/gold-brush-plating/plug-n-plate-gold-kit.html There's also different coatings, so you could chrome plate part or all. -
Good shooting Gloves
nukeme70 replied to Boba Debt's topic in General Discussion - Any topic is welcome here!!!
Might be a dumb question, but why let that stop me... What's the advantage/purpose of shooting gloves? Is it shock absorption, heat protection, abrasion resistance? Cold weather protection is obvious. I hope that all didn't come across as sarcastic or accusatory...I really don't know. Thanks! -
308 vs 54r dragunov clone

I already had quite a bit of x54r sitting around that I had acquired for my Mosins. I'm a big fan of consolidating ammo calibers, so the Vepr 54r was a pretty easy choice. I've had 2 of the 20 round mags on order since February - just waiting for them to actually ship. -
Years ago there was a graphic artist that had some sample pics up on his site. Apparently, there was a really cool dragon that excited the goth crowd, and thousands of people were linking to it for their Myspace background, killing his bandwidth allotment. He kept the filename while changing the picture to the classic "goatse" (google at your own risk). Suddenly thousands of kids suddenly had pictures of a nasty distended anus plastered all over their social page.

There are pistol grip options out there for unconverted S-12's - only effort is removing the buttstock and replacing with new unit. Example: http://www.saiga-12.com/proddetail.asp?prod=AGP004

I threw the Maadi/Mak-90 one http://tinyurl.com/k7utp8bonto my Vepr - it doesn't have the greatest fit, as the square-back rifle doesn't seem to really be 90 degrees square (or maybe it's the stock?). You pretty much have to choose to have the stock tight to the vertical portion by the tang, and have a gap by the trigger, or tight to the horizontal and aligned with the trigger, but have a gap by the tang. I snugged the stock against the trigger. The stock attaches at 2 points - the gripscrew and the tang. This allows the stock to wiggle and creak a bit. All that said, I'd probably g
