  1. Its good to see a new player in the MKA accessory manufacturing community. Looking forward to reading some reviews on their lower. Definitely something I will be willing to purchase if it reviews well.
  2. Hose washer. Damn used one of those to fix the tachometer amp on my 1982 Mercedes 300td. Will give it a try on the MKA. Who ever invented the hose washer gets mad respect from me. He or she could not have known the contribution to society that invention made. Hope there is a statue in some park in honor.
  3. SteveUK I'm with you. I used to look forward to reading this forum. All the hate has tempered that. Guess that's where we are at. Here in the U.S. anyways. Hope it's different there. Hope it changes here.
  4. When I was just a little boy my old granny sat me on her knee. Said boy there is on fixing stupid. Words from a wise old lady. She was kind enough to take the time to share with me. So retaliatory comments, polite or not are wasted time and effort. I'm not one to try and change opinions no matter how wrong they are.
  5. I also have a pre XN model with a Tooth and Nail charge handle and reduced power recoil spring. Have had the same results as Flatland with the 1200fps Remington Gun Club shells. Can be found for $6.20 a box of 25. Don't know how this compares to Wallmart stuff as I won't set foot in their stores due to their anti union policies.
  6. Very nice mod. Thanks for sharing.
  7. XN models will have XN stamped at the end of the serial number. The only dumb questions are the ones not asked. Hope this helps.
  8. I`m shooting Remington gun club. 1 1\8 oz, 7.5 shot at 1200 fps. Works well for me.
  9. I have a pre XN model and my gun has the exact same issue. 2 stock 5 round mags and 2 factory 10 round mags. All trip the bolt release when inserted and has since new. I assumed this was a design feature. Not a desirable one though. This is not much help but it may knowing your not the only one with this issue. Both factory 10 round mags have worked flawlessly for me. Guess I got lucky on that.
  10. Hey don't know if anyone has heard but Tooth and Nail has just finished a complete redesign of the hammer/disconector. It is Smooooooth and should be up on their site soon.
  11. Remington Gun Club. Runs good and the price is right.
  12. I've been using Steel Shield Weapon Shield Gun Grease on the bolt and bolt carrier contact points, Mobil 1 synthetic oil on the rails, gas piston and guide rod.

So any ideas on how to convert my MKA to belt fed. Had a dream the other night. I was blasting away. Belt full of 12 guage coming out of two .30 cal ammo cans welded top to bottom under the mag well. It was amazing. Then my girlie woke me by smacking me upside my head while saying shut up. Followed by you better not be cheating on me you old pervert. So I need a belt fed MKA. Any ideas?
  14. Nickel boron now that would be sweet! Get the lower in the white and have both upper and lower nickel boron plated would be the nat`s ass. Damn all the extravagant ideas.
  15. Good place to start is Carolina Shooters Supply. http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/servlet/-strse-AKDAL-MKA-dsh-1919/Categories
