  1. I actually cut mine with a hacksaw and then filed it smooth with just a hint of taper at the end. Make sure standard nuts will run cleanly over the threads before you try to sink it into your trigger guard.
  2. I bought one. Not because I couldn't cycle cheap ammo, but because my gun would cycle literally EVERYTHING I put through it on setting one. Because of the way the threads are cut, I have to back it out about 90% of a full turn to hit setting one, so too much gas is getting through the gap at the end. I like shooting 3" slugs and even the few that I've put though my gun have caused wear on the rear trunnion and back of the bolt carrier. It hasn't arrived yet, but I'm hoping that I can crank down on the gas flow and save my gun some wear.
  3. This is probably my favorite build thread I've looked at. Really awesome job.
  4. I ordered a V-Plug on the 14th, charged on the 16th, order still "processing" as of the 21st.
  5. Full power slugs should be fired on setting #1.
  6. Doesn't Ironwood make a Saiga-specific set? If you ordered that, it skips the top cover and (I think) is a bolt-on for your 12.
  7. I put my gun back together today after converting. I didn't have to grind my BHO or safety lever... Haven't fired yet, but everything seems to work. Did I mess it up?
  8. I just did my conversion today. Classic AK grip. K-Var Warsaw length stock. CSS guard. Tromix FCG. First conversion.. Definitely had a few hiccups along the way, but everything happened in the span of a day.
  9. Hey guys, Bought a Saiga 12 the day after Thanksgiving. Immediately took it to a range and ran some buck through it. Worked great! Busted it open, 4 port gun. Stoked! Second trip: put more 00 buck through it. No troubles. Ran out, grabbed a few boxes of Remington low recoil 00 buck. A few FTE's later, switched to port setting 2 and it ran like a champ. I decided I wanted some 10 round AGP mags, so I bought a stainless MD arms puck. It's the "S" stamped non-booster version. Fast forward to today where I found an indoor range that will let me shoot birdshot. Brought
