  1. They will look great once mounted. Do us a favor and post some photos of the mounting process. Good luck!
  2. You are going to like the SR9. I love the way it feels in my hand and the way it shoots. I got one out of the first production run and I have had zero issues with it.
  3. Damn nice chunk of metal you got there Cobra! You are always raising the bar. Very nice indeed!
  4. Try putting on a wood handguard. Saigas look so nice dressed up in wood.
  5. I took Ivan out looking for the elusive turkey last weekend. I was not able to close the deal due to the fact only hens came in range I patterened Ivan with 3in magnum turkey loads several times. The two round mag worked flawlessly. The two round mag was also very comfortable to hunt with. The 8 rounder worked as advertised too. I am pretty happy with the Surfire mags.
  6. I just got an 8 round and a 2 round Surefire mag from CSS. I have not live fired either one yet but they fit well and dry cycle without any problems. The two round mag will be nice for turkey hunting because it is very low profile....one less thing to get in the way in a sitting position. You rarely get more that 2 shots off anyway. The Saiga is a bit noisy chambering a round and of course the safety is a tad clunky for stelth hunting too. Naturally if I can bag a turkey with Ivan I will be sure to post a pic..... The 8 rounder is almost the same size as an AGP 10 rd mag. I am no
  7. Sweeeeeeeet! I like it. One of a kind!
  8. I got one of the slip on recoil pads for Ivan. I use it about half the time. It adds about an inch to you LOP but you can shoot all day long with out ANY discomfort. Its very comfortable. Put it on and take it off in seconds. Blackjack Buffers sells them for about $20.

    On the Hunt.

Excellent trade! I think you got the better part of that deal!
  10. Send the shottie to Tony and have it cut down 10 inches.....problem solved!
  11. I have shot the Centrion rounds out of my Saiga. They cycle reliably although the patterns were all a little different at 25 yards. They should make a good self defense round up close, probably not really better than any buckshot though. I sure would hate to take a round myself, ouch!
  12. This photo shows the Centurion ammo shot through a Saiga modified choke. It looks like the shot pattern was pretty tight. One rather large hole and just two smaller holes just above the big one. Like I said there is nothing scientific about this, I just took a single shot at the target. It looks like the Centurion might be a pretty good self defense round.
  13. Not too long ago I bought a box of the Centurion Law Enforcement ball with 6 buck shot ammo. I just wanted to play around with it. I decided to shoot some paper at 25 yards with the shark break and then my modified choke and add the photos to this post. Nothing scientific about what I am doing, just putting the target and taking a shot at it at my local range. First photo is the Shark break. The big ball shot pretty straight but the little balls had a pretty wide pattern.
  14. Last Round Bolt Hold Open! Yeeessssss! That just might be my next mod. A Saiga-12 is never really finished! Hopefully I will get to try the new sight on Saturday!
  15. It's the little things that make the difference. I love my Saiga. One of the things I love about it is the ability to add attachments and make changes easily. The one thing I did not like about my Saiga was the front factory sight. I recently purchased a front sight from Dinzag. I must say the fit and finish is great. It really looks like it belongs on the shottie. I have a Russian clamp on for my 410 but the new front sight for Ivan is a cut above. Attached is a photo of the two together. The Dinzag sight really looks "factory". Come to think of it the muzzle brake on the 410 is a Dinzag ite
