  1. Sadly, and I hate to point this out, the government doesn't follow the constitution unless it's convenient for them. They have it in tatters and only when we beat the shit out of them will it change.

Let's hope Trump brings some brass knuckles. We will know his intent, just like Barry's, when he does, or doesn't, go after Barry. (Barry constructively announced his intent to ignore the constitution when he didn't go after Bush.)

  2. Got out to the range yesterday to try out the Mini Monster brake Mike sent me. I'm not particularly recoil sensitive & noted no real difference with reduced velocity buck & maybe a bit of recoil & muzzle rise attenuation with full-power buck.

Remembered my (antique) timer & spare batteries for everything, except my camera. Timer results showed no significant difference with low-power stuff(Fiocchi, 1150 fps advertised), an average of 3 hundredths split times improvement with full power (Estate, 1350 FPS advertised). Bear in mind that I'm a little out of practice & these results may not reflect anyone else's.

Also tried some Federal 00 buck with the flite-control wad to see if there'd be any adverse effect like another muzzle attachment I've tried. Worked as advertised, shot staying together out to about 12 yards, then assuming a more normal pattern spread from that point.

So, I'm pretty pleased with it. Measurable improvement with stout loads & it looks like it belongs on a Saiga. It's a keeper. Thanks, Mike!

Got out again today with my Nephew, his son & fiancee. A couple 5-yard Mozambiques with Estate 00 buck:

    Kaboom avoidance:

Also brought along an AR pistol. Got a click instead of bang in the middle of a string. Attempted an immediate 'tap-rack-bang' only to have a failure to go into battery. A brisk poke at the forward assist did not remedy this. Hmmm... Cleared & stripped out BCG, found this in the chamber throat:

Perfecta 55 gr FMJ ammo, which I'd found to be adequate plinking fodder in the past. I heard no 'pop', just a click. I'm assuming a missed powder charge. I'm amazed that the primer apparently had enough omph to drive the bullet into the throat of the chamber & begin to engrave into the rifling without making any significant noise.

It's enough to make me re-asses malfunction clearance procedures; I'm thinking any T/R/B that results in failure to go into battery means it's time to go for your back-up piece.

Y'all DO carry a BUG, right?

    That's scary, and yes, always.

  3. I bought a Ruger 380 LCP , which had a 12 mile trigger travel before it went bang . I bought it for deep ccw it was pretty accurate , but I let my wife shoot it and waited for day's for it to go off .I got lucky and traded it in on a Glock 42 [ yeh I know Tupperware ] and only lost 50.00 . I felt pretty good about seeing it leave . It was my fault as I should have rented one before I bought it . I think it was the worst pistol I have ever owned . The next time I buy one from now on I will try it before I buy it .

It's a DA only. I use one, and I agree, it sucks when you're used to higher end equipment. But you can't beat it for ccw. It's accurate in my hands to about 18 yards, in a pinch I'd go 22-23 yards and expect to need more to hit vitals. Anyway, I am not arguing, but saying it's good for what it is: pocket carry invisible.

  4. "Armed white terrorists have invaded and are currently occupying federal property."

    Hyperbole much?

As much as I want "something to be done", this isn't something that helps our side.

The smart gov play is just to let the "militia" get bored and leave.   Bundy said the group planned to stay at the refuge indefinitely. "We're planning on staying here for years, absolutely," Ammon Bundy said. "This is not a decision we've made at the last minute."  But if there is no media circus, and no gov ninjas peering out of the turrets of apcs to egg them on...

Yeah, but the government doesnt like to not kill people to fix things for them. And they HATE militias, it challenges their authority to dictate law to us. Ffrom what i have read, the militia is right.

Very serious indeed.  How many here study American History ... especially around 1774 to around 1775?  The timing is bad.  Why is it so many of us just get pissed and grab a gun when the answer is  .... if anybody has a brain in their head .... to use other avenues?  Just me.

if youve read what has gone on since the 60s on these guys being abused by the feds, you might not think it is so hasty a thing to do.

  5.

Santa just bought a Mossberg pump 510 mini Super Bantam in 410 gauge for my 9 year old ,damn that's a little bitty thing

I got one for my wife, great shotgun for kids/petite women.I just got a M1 Garand someone left in the dryer too long and shrunk it. Shrunk the chamber now too, so it only shoots 308. 1944 Springfield Armory receiver.

    Sweet!

I just picked up a 1945 Springfield M1 Garand, all matching, and beau-T-ful! Paid too much, but I've wanted one so long, and she's sooo pretty!

Unfortunately Photobucket is sucking ass so I cant post a pic. if it recovers I will post up, eventually!

  6. I think the bigger "miracle" is that the most wanted man in Europe escaped a country that locked down it's borders, then he fled to a city in another country that also got locked down all while every security force probably on earth was chasing him. Then he vanishes into thin air. Mathematically I think that trumps a gun jamming

Almost as if the governments were actually helping him out each step of the way....

  7. I am all stocked up, so its fine by me. Helps assure my stuff doesnt lose value.

I think there was a group of events that collided here, thats causing the significant increase in business:

1 everyone realized that the muslims are indeed invading, and they will cause trouble, just like in france, germany, norway, sweden, and rest of europe.

    2. everyone realized Opussy is actually a muslim for real, and now that he clearly outright lying, its clear they better care for themselves.

    3. its christmas and who the hell doesnt want firearm gifts!?!? mJust told my parents I want more .45ACP and 9mm myself.

Sorry for those arent already taken care of, but know that we've all been there in previous times!
